Battery – Suspect Arrested
Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Artesia Metro Passenger Station regarding a person under the influence of alcohol call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro contract security officer (victim), who told Deputies, she contacted an adult female (suspect) on the platform drinking and asked her to leave. After contacting the suspect, the suspect kicked the victim after she was told to exit the platform. The suspect was subsequently arrested for battery and trespassing.
Grand Theft (Copper Wire) – No Suspect information
Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Slauson Metro Passenger Station regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that approximately 100 yards south of the platform, an unknown person had stolen approximately 70 feet of copper wire. There was no description of a suspect. The supervisor estimated the cost of replacing the copper wire to be $3,600. The suspect is still outstanding.

Vandalism – Suspect Outstanding
Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Crenshaw Boulevard and Imperial Highway in the city of Inglewood regarding a vandalism just occurred, call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the bus operator (witness), who stated an adult male (suspect) became upset because the bus operator did not stop the bus where he wanted. The bus operator informed the suspect that the bus could not stop due to road construction in the area. The suspect became irate and punched the door, causing the glass to shatter. The suspect then ran off the bus onto Crenshaw Blvd and out of view. A search for the suspect was conducted, but he was not located. The suspect is still outstanding.

Criminal Threats – Suspect Outstanding
Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Burbank Airport regarding a criminal threats report call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Bus operator (victim), who reported that she had picked up an adult male (suspect) at the Universal Studios bus layover. The victim stated the suspect attempted to engage her in conversation, but she ignored him. The victim further stated as he was exiting the bus, the suspect said, “That’s why I hate black people.” Once the suspect exited the bus at the above location, he stated, “I’m going to kill you”. The victim said she did not think much of the incident until she returned to the yard, at which point she informed her supervisor, who advised her to file a police report.

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to 92nd Street and Graham Avenue, in the city of Los Angeles regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown person had stolen approximately 70 feet of copper wire. There was no description of a suspect. The supervisor estimated the cost of replacing the copper wire to be $6,000. The suspect is still outstanding.
Child Endangerment – Suspect Arrested
Transit Services Bureau (TSB)Deputies responded to the Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault between a mother and daughter call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a juvenile female (victim) and an adult female (suspect) on the Metro green line. During their investigation it was determined the suspect violently assaulted and threatened the victim. Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) was notified and responded. The suspect was arrested.
