In 1994, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department merged Firestone Park and Lynwood Stations to create one of the most prestigious law enforcement precincts in the nation, proudly known as Century Sheriff’s Station. Upholding the Sheriff’s Department’s 150 year “Tradition of Service,” the sworn and professional staff of Century Station take pride in their outstanding work ethic, where personal and professional integrity are the foundation of their actions.
Serving the unincorporated areas of Florence, Firestone, Walnut park, Willowbrook, Rosewood, Athens Park, and the City of Lynwood, Century Sheriff’s Station provides law enforcement services to more than 200,000 residents living within a 13 square mile area in the heart of South Los Angeles. Century Station Deputies actively strive to solve community problems and quality of life concerns by developing partnerships in the community and working together to achieve lasting results.
Century Stations deputies are known for their expertise and proficiency in combating crime, as well as rapid and tactical responses to violent crimes in progress and critical incidents. Year after year, Century Station deputies set the standard in law enforcement for the apprehension of dangerous felons, seizure of firearms and narcotics, while at the same time supporting positive youth intervention and prevention programs to make our neighborhoods safer.
We welcome and encourage community participation in our effort to strengthen public safety. If you have any questions regarding law enforcement matters, or need additional information about any of our programs, please contact Century Sheriff’s Station at (323) 568-4800.
