September 25, 2025

ADW – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Florence Metro Passenger Station regarding a person with a knife call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies were informed the male adult (victim) had already left the location. Deputies were further informed that a male adult (suspect) was still on the platform. Upon contacting the suspect and detaining him, the suspect stated he was involved in a fight with the victim on the platform. The suspect further stated he produced a machete and attacked the victim. The victim was able to disarm the suspect and threw the machete out of the suspect’s reach. Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage showed the victim suffered injuries to his right hand, but the extent of his injuries is unknown. The suspect was arrested for the charge listed above. The suspect sustained no injuries. The machete was recovered and booked into evidence. The suspect was arrested.

ADW – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Artesia Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault with a deadly weapon report call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated, while onboard the train, he witnessed the male adult (suspect) pour gasoline from a gas tank onto the train floor. The victim said he also saw the suspect pull out a lighter and hold it over the gasoline spilled on the floor. The victim was able to kick the lighter out of the suspect’s hand to prevent a fire. The suspect then pulled a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the victim, telling the victim he was going to shoot him. The victim immediately exited the train. The victim stated that the suspect left the metro train station and ran north, out of view. Due to the delay in reporting the incident, TSB Deputies were unable to locate the suspect. The victim suffered no injuries in this incident. The suspect is still outstanding.

ADW – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Firestone Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated, while inside the stopped train, he witnessed the male adult (suspect) touch an unknown female inappropriately on her buttocks. The victim intervened and told the suspect to respect the female. The suspect then pulled a folding knife from his pocket and lunged at the victim. The victim, fearing for his safety, immediately got off the train and called the police. The victim said the suspect remained on the train, which left the station heading southbound. TSB units searched for the suspect but met with negative results. The victim suffered no injuries. The suspect is still outstanding.

September 23, 2025

Vandalism – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Imperial Hwy and Western Av, in the city of Los Angeles, regarding a vandalism call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro bus operator, who stated she saw a male adult (suspect) exit the bus.  As the suspect was exiting the bus, he hit the window with his right hand, breaking the glass.  The supervisor estimated the cost of replacing the window to be $326.68. The Metro bus operator stated the suspect fled westbound on Imperial Highway and out of view.

September 22, 2025

Battery on Metro Contract Security – Suspect Cited

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Norwalk Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro contract security (victim), who stated that a male adult (suspect) was loitering on the platform and asked him to leave.  The contract security escorted the suspect off the platform and upstairs to the street level.  While escorting the suspect off the platform, the suspect turned towards the contract security personnel and spat food on their shoes.  The contract security detained the suspect, pending the arrival of deputy personnel. The contract security was desirous of prosecution and signed a “Private Person’s” arrest for the suspect.  The suspect was cited and released in the field. The contract security was not injured during the incident.

September 21, 2025

ADW – Suspect Arrested / Subject Cited

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Lakewood Bl and Rose Av, in the city of Downey, regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a male juvenile (subject) and a male adult (suspect) who stated, while on the bus, they sat next to each.  The subject and suspect got into an argument, which quickly escalated into a violent confrontation at which time the suspect pulled out a box cutter, and the subject pulled out a knife. The subject was detained for the indicated charge and later cited and released to his parent.  The suspect was arrested and booked for the indicated charge. The subject and suspect were not injured during this incident. Suspect Arrested, and the subject was cited.

September 20, 2025

ADW / Attempted Robbery – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to a local Hospital, regarding an assault with a deadly weapon and attempted robbery report call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated, while waiting for the train at the Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station, she was approached by a female adult (suspect), who attempted to take her cellphone by force. The victim’s cellphone fell to the ground, and a fight ensued between the suspect and the victim. The suspect then left the location in an unknown direction and out of view. The victim said that as she picked up her cellphone, she also saw a foldable knife on the ground but did not realize the knife had been used during the assault by the suspect. Once the victim was home, she realized she had been stabbed multiple times in her abdomen by the suspect. The victim was transported to a local Hospital, where she remains under observation for non-life-threatening injuries. Due to the time delay in reporting the incident, TSB deputies were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect is still outstanding.

Sexual Battery – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Central Ave and Hardy St, in the city of Inglewood, regarding a sexual battery call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated that she was approached by an adult male (suspect) on the bus. The suspect, who was a stranger to the victim, began to ask the victim for her name and other personal questions, which the victim ignored. Due to the bus being crowded, the victim and suspect were standing close to each other in the front of the bus. The victim said that when she was able to move toward the back of the bus, she felt the suspect’s hand groping her buttocks. The victim said she then exited the bus on Crenshaw Blvd. and Hardy St. and went home, where she called the police. Due to the delay in reporting the incident, TSB units were unable to search for the suspect. The suspect is still outstanding.

September 18, 2025

ADW – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Monrovia Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault on Metro employees, call for service. Before the Deputies’ arrival, the male adult (suspect) had already left the location. The victim told deputies that while working on lighting equipment in the area, the suspect approached the victim and, without provocation, produced a knife from his pocket. The victim, fearing for his safety, pushed the suspect to the side and distanced himself from the suspect. The suspect was then seen running from the area in an unknown direction and out of view. A witness to the incident advised TSB deputies of the suspect’s location in a nearby business. TSB units located the suspect, and the victim positively identified him.  The suspect was subsequently arrested by TSB personnel for the above charge and taken into custody without further incident. The victim did not suffer any injuries from this incident. The suspect is still outstanding.
