July 3, 2025

Strong Arm Robbery – Suspect Not in Custody

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to 60th Street and Central Avenue regarding a robbery just occurred call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim), who stated while she was inside the bus a male adult (suspect) approached her and forcibly grabbed her yellow necklace from her neck. The suspect ran off the bus and was last seen running northbound on Central Avenue and out of view. The victim stated the necklace was worth approximately $5000. The victim suffered an approximate 5-inch laceration around her neck. The victim refused medical attention. No suspect information is available at this time.

Grand Theft (Copper Wire) – No Suspect information

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Florence Metro Passenger Station regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown person had taken 24 feet of copper wire. There was no description of a suspect. The supervisor estimated the cost to replace and repair the copper wire to $4900. No suspect information is available at this time.

Vandalism – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Alpine Avenue and Sunset Boulevard in the city of Beverly Hills regarding a vandalism just occurred, call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the bus operator (witness), who stated an adult male (suspect) became upset because the bus operator was stopping at every red light and he was in a rush to go somewhere. The suspect approached the front of the bus and struck the operator’s bus barrier door with a folded metal pocketknife, causing it to shatter. A Metro Supervisor estimated the cost to repair and replace the shattered door to be $970. The suspect was arrested and booked by TSB Deputies for the above charge.

Robbery – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Willowbrook Metro Passenger Bus Station regarding a robbery call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim), who stated she was in the turnaround waiting for the bus when a male adult (suspect), approached the victim and pulled her to the ground. While the victim was on the ground, the suspect kicked her and took her belongings from her person. A bystander witnessed the robbery and held the suspect to prevent him from leaving the location. TSB Deputies responded to the location and arrested the suspect for the above charge. Los Angeles County Fire paramedics responded to the location and medically treated the victim. The victim refused to be transported to the hospital. The victim was later transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Grand Theft (Copper Wire) – No Suspect information

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of 92nd Street and Graham Avenue, Los Angeles regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Track Inspector, who stated that an unknown person had taken 150 feet of copper wire between 92nd Street & Graham Avenue. There was no description of a suspect. The track inspector estimated the cost to repair and replace the copper wire to be $7800. No suspect information is available at this time.

Grand Theft Person (Cell Phone) – Suspect Not in Custody

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Long Beach Metro Passenger Station regarding a petty theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the victim, who stated while she was standing on the platform, male black adult (suspect) grabbed her cellphone from the victim’s hand. The suspect fled on foot down the stairs at Long Beach Pax towards the street level. The suspect was last seen on foot southbound on Long Beach Boulevard and out of view.
