April 30, 2025

ADW GBI – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Compton Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service.  Upon arrival, Deputies contacted an adult female (witness) who was waiting on the platform and observed an adult male (suspect) slam an adult female’s (victim) head against a concrete pillar multiple times on the platform. The deputies located and detained the suspect pending an assault investigation. The witness positively identified the suspect as the person who assaulted the victim. A search for the victim was conducted, but she was not located. Based on the witnesses’ statements and a review of CCTV of the incident, the suspect was arrested for the assault.

ADW (Knife) – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to a local hospital regarding an assault with a deadly weapon report call. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted an adult male (victim) who stated while riding an eastbound bus, he was approached by an adult male (suspect). The victim and the suspect were involved in a physical altercation; during the altercation, the suspect retrieved a knife and stabbed the victim in his upper back and left shoulder. The suspect exited the bus, and then the victim exited the bus. The victim called 911. Los Angeles County Fire responded and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was treated for a non-life-threatening 1-inch stab wound to the upper back area and left shoulder area. The suspect is still outstanding.

April 28, 2025

Train Vs. Vehicle – Vehicle Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the intersection of Alondra Blvd and Willowbrook Ave in the city of Compton regarding a train vs. vehicle call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies spoke with the train operator, who reported that he had collided with a vehicle that was stopped on the tracks. When the operator looked back, the vehicle had already left the location. The operator, nor the passengers, reported any injuries or complaints of pain, and all passengers declined medical treatment. Compton Sheriff’s Station responded and took over the traffic investigation. The train sustained minor scrape damage to its side. A search for the vehicle involved in the incident was conducted but was not located.

April 27, 2025

Persons Down/Battery – Suspects Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Slauson Metro Passenger Station regarding a person down call for service.  Upon arrival, Deputies contacted Los Angeles County Fire, who was already on scene and treating an adult male (victim). The victim stated approximately five males assaulted him while he was on the platform. The victim was bleeding from the face and head area. The victim was transported to a local hospital to be further evaluated. Deputies searched the area for the suspects but were unable to find anyone involved in the incident.

April 25, 2025

ADW (Hands/Feet) – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to a local hospital regarding an assault with a deadly weapon report call. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted an adult female (victim) who stated, she was aboard a bus with an adult female (Suspect) she had just met in Culver City.  While riding the bus, the victim and suspect became involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation.  The suspect grabbed the victim’s neck with both hands and began choking her.  The victim and suspect exited the bus somewhere in Santa Monica near Robertson (NFD), and the physical fight continued.  The victim said the suspect kicked and punched her numerous times.  The victim said she did not report the incident the day before because she wanted to go home.  The victim had bruises and redness on her neck and left cheek and complained of pain in her back, arms, and legs. The suspect is still outstanding.

ADW – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Long Beach Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted an adult male (victim) who stated while aboard a bus heading for Long Beach Passenger Station, he and another adult male (suspect) got involved in a verbal argument.  When they arrived at the station and exited the bus, the argument escalated and became a physical altercation.  During the altercation, the suspect produced a screwdriver and stabbed the victim in the stomach.   Deputies located the suspect on the platform waiting for the train and arrested him.  The victim’s wound was superficial, and he refused medical treatment.  The suspect was booked for Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

April 24, 2025

Robbery/ADW – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Vermont Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault with a deadly weapon report call for service.  Upon arrival, Deputies detained three suspects who matched the description in the call one Juvenile, male (suspect 1) and two juvenile females (suspect 2 & 3). Deputies also contacted an adult male (victim) who stated, the male suspect approached him on the train as they were approaching Vermont Station and demanded his phone which the victim refused to give. When the train arrived at Vermont Station the victim exited the train followed by the three suspects.  While on the platform all three suspects attacked the victim, punching, kicking, and whipping him with an electrical cord.  During the attack, the suspects were able to take the victims cell phone.  All three suspects exited the platform and went up to the street level where they were detained by deputies. The victim was treated at the scene for cuts and bruising to his face.  The victim refused transport to the hospital. All three suspects were booked into juvenal hall for Robbery and Assault with a deadly weapon.

ADW – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Lakewood Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault with a deadly weapon report call for service.  Upon arrival, Deputies contacted Metro Security Officers (victim 1 & 2) who stated, while riding the train approaching Lakewood Station both victims observed an adult female (suspect) smoking on the train.  They approached the suspect and advised her to put out the cigarette.  The suspect became angry, broke a glass bottle that was in her hand and started threatening the victims with it. The suspect threw the bottle at one of the victims.  The victims were able to detain the suspect and escort the suspect off the train awaiting the arrival of deputies.  While sitting on the bench the suspect kicked and bit the second victim.  Deputies arrived and took the suspect into custody.  Both victims refused medical care.  The suspect was treated for an injury to her hand at a local hospital, then booked on assault with a deadly weapon charges.

ADW – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Slauson Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault with a deadly weapon report call for service.  Upon arrival, Deputies contacted an adult male (victim) who stated while riding the A Line train approaching Slauson Metro Passenger Station; he got in a physical altercation with an adult female (suspect) over his bicycle.  During the altercation, the suspect took a knife from the victim’s pocket and threatened him with it. The train operator saw the altercation and told the suspect to drop the knife; the suspect complied and dropped the knife.  Deputies searched the area and located the suspect. The suspect was arrested.  Both the suspect and the victim were treated on the scene for minor injuries.
