Aggravated Assault – Suspect Arrested
Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Sierra Madre Metro Passenger Station regarding a person stabbed on the platform call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies met with the Pasadena Fire Department and found an adult male (victim) with multiple stab wounds. A person of interest (the suspect) was located by deputies and detained at the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for life-threatening injuries to his upper torso. The victim was held in stable condition at the Hospital in Pasadena. The suspect who was detained at the location has been arrested for Attempted Murder and Mayhem.

ADW – Suspect Arrested
Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the El Monte Bus Terminal Station regarding an assault with a deadly weapon that just occurred call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted an adult male (victim) who said he and an adult male (suspect) were involved in a fistfight when the suspect pulled out a knife from his waistband and stabbed him. The victim was stabbed once on the forehead, once on the cheek, once on his left forearm, and 4 times in the back. Contract security at the location witnessed the assault.
TSB deputies located and detained the suspect. The victim and witnesses positively identified the suspect as the person who had stabbed the victim multiple times. The suspect was arrested for the charge indicated. The deputies recovered the knife the suspect used. The suspect was transported to a local hospital for an OK to book due to the injuries he sustained in the first fight. The victim was transported to the local hospital in critical but stable condition.
Battery on Transit Security – Suspect Arrested
Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Crenshaw Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault on Metro Contract Security personnel. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted Metro Contract Security Officers (victim and witnesses), who stated they contacted an adult female (suspect) on the elevator urinating and defecating inside the elevator. Security instructed the suspect to exit the station, but the suspect refused. During their contact with the suspect, she became angry and punched the victim in his chest. The victim and witness were able to gain control of the suspect and placed her in handcuffs. The victim complained of soreness in his chest. However, he declined medical attention. The victim was desirous of prosecution and signed a Private Person’s (Citizen’s) Arrest. The suspect was arrested and booked.
Grand Theft (Copper Wire) – Suspect Outstanding
Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Metro division yard regarding a see-the-man report call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown suspect entered the location and stole 100 feet of copper wire. The suspects cut the copper wire from the right-of-way track area and fled the location. The damage and repairs were estimated at $3,500. The suspect is still outstanding.

Possible ADW (Metal Object) – Suspect Outstanding
Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the local medical center regarding an assault with a deadly weapon report call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted an adult male (victim) who stated he was assaulted after he entered the Downtown Santa Monica Metro Passenger Station and rode the train to 7th and Metro. While riding the train, he noted that 10 male juveniles (subjects) took his cane and assaulted him with an unknown black metal object. The victim said the subjects picked him up and threw him off the train at an unknown location. The victim was unsure of any further details of the incident, and it is unclear if the victim was treated for his injuries at the first hospital. The victim’s injuries appear to be fresh and not ones that were sustained a day ago. The victim’s statements were inconsistent.
Battery on Transit Patron – Suspect Arrested
Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery on a Metro transit patron call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted an adult female (victim) who said between Harbor and Willowbrook Stations, an adult female (suspect) approached her, grabbed her hair, and began pulling it. When the train stopped at Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station, other passengers intervened, and the suspect let go of the victim’s hair and fled southbound and out of view.
TSB Deputies located and detained the suspect pending a battery investigation. The victim positively identified the suspect as the person who had pulled her hair, causing her pain. The suspect was arrested for the charge indicated. The deputies discovered the suspect had two fixed-blade knives concealed under her clothing. The suspect was additionally charged with carrying a concealed dirk/dagger. The victim refused medical treatment.
ADW (Rocks) – Suspects Outstanding
Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Compton Metro Passenger Station regarding a trespassing call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted security personnel, who stated they contacted an adult male (suspect) who became unruly on the train and was told to leave. The suspect exited the train but remained on the platform and continued his rowdy behavior. The suspect left the platform but returned a few minutes later. Security personnel denied the suspect access to the platform, so the suspect became irate and went on the tracks. The suspect began to throw rocks at the security personnel, missing them several times. The suspect then fled the location southbound and out of view. The deputies searched for the suspect but were unable to locate him. The security personnel were not hit or injured during the incident.
Robbery – Suspect Outstanding
Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Arcadia Metro Passenger Station regarding a robbery call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted an adult male (victim) who stated he boarded a westbound train at the Monrovia Metro Passenger Station and was approached by two adult males (suspects 1 & 2). Suspect 1 pulled out a pocketknife and ordered the victim to empty his pockets. The victim complied and handed them his prescription medication. Both suspects also tried to take the victim’s cell phone as the train pulled into the Arcadia Metro Passenger station. Still, the victim was able to exit the train and seek help. The victim was not injured. A search for the suspect was conducted, but he was not located.

Vandalism – Suspect Outstanding
Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to El Segundo Blvd and Hawthorne Blvd in the city of Hawthorne regarding a vandalism call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted an adult female (the bus operator), who stated an adult male (suspect) was involved in a fight with another adult male (party) inside the bus. She said that as the suspect exited the bus, he punched the windshield, causing it to crack. The suspect began walking westbound on El Segundo Blvd from Hawthorne Blvd and out of view. No injuries were reported. The suspect and the other party involved were searched, but he was not located.

Traffic Collision – Bus Vs. Vehicle
Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Long Beach Blvd and Rosecrans Ave., in the city of Compton, regarding an MTA bus vs. vehicle traffic collision on Long Beach Blvd at Rosecrans Ave when it collided with a white Chevrolet Blazer. Compton Fire responded. No injuries were reported on the bus or by the other party involved. The bus and the other vehicle sustained minor damage. Compton Sheriff’s Station will investigate the traffic collision.
