Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Hands) – Suspects Arrested
While conducting a patrol check of Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station, Deputies heard several people yelling on the platform. Deputies responded to the platform and discovered while walking down the steps from the C Line to the A Line, four juveniles were being loud, boisterous, and pretending to fight. Deputies contacted an adult male (victim) who stated he thought they were physically fighting and approached them and became involved in a verbal altercation. Without warning, subject #1 punched the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground. subject #1 then stood over the victim and punched him numerous times in the face. subject #2 then punched the victim 2-3 times in the face.
The victim’s friend attempted to pull the juveniles off her friend, and the victim was able to stand up. subject #1 then pushed the victim onto the tracks. Fearing the subjects would continue to assault the victim, the female (the victim’s friend) produced a knife and ordered the subjects to leave the victim alone. Deputies detained all parties and subsequently arrested subjects #1 and #2 for the indicated charge. The victim sustained bruising on his face, several abrasions on his arms, and a possible fractured wrist. Los Angeles County Fire responded and treated the victim on scene. The victim refused further medical attention. The subjects were arrested.

Possible Sexual Assault – No Suspect Information
Transit Services Bureau Deputy responded to the local Medical Center regarding a possible rape report call for service. Upon the Deputy’s arrival, he contacted a female adult (victim), who reported she was raped and sodomized while on a metro bus in Santa Monica. The victim was very uncooperative with Department personnel, refusing to provide details of the incident, including bus identification, to aid in the investigation. The victim further refused any medical examination by medical center staff. The Deputy investigator observed no visible injuries to the victim, and no related calls for service were received. The description of the suspect is currently unknown.

Battery – Suspect Arrested
The Transit Service Bureau deputy responded to a local hospital regarding a battery report call for service. Upon his arrival, he contacted an adult male (victim) who stated he was pepper sprayed by an unknown adult male wearing a black gator covering his face while riding a metro bus. An additional victim was contacted at another local Hospital who also reported being pepper sprayed while sitting near the first victim and reported being punched one time on his face. A search for the suspect was met with negative results.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Arrested
Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Downtown Santa Monica 4th Street Metro Passenger Station regarding a meeting with the Santa Monica Police Department call for service. Upon their arrival, Deputies personnel learned Santa Monica PD had detained an adult male (suspect) on the platform following an altercation with another individual. Upon further investigation and review of CCTV footage, personnel learned the suspect and an adult male (victim) were in an argument, leading to a physical altercation. During the altercation, the suspect stabbed the victim in the torso. A weapon was recovered at the location.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and transported the victim to a local hospital in stable condition. The suspect complained of pain in his head and was also transported to a separate local hospital for medical clearance.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Arrested
Transit Services Bureau Deputies responded to the Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted an adult male (victim) who stated that an adult male (suspect) approached him on the train and instructed the victim not to record him with his cell phone. The suspect then, without provocation, swung a metal pipe at the victim, striking the victim on his left arm, causing redness and bruising. The victim refused medical treatment at the scene. The suspect was arrested.

Urinating in Public/MTA Security Pepper Spray – Suspect Arrested
Transit Services Bureau Deputies responded to the Westchester/Veterans Metro Passenger Station regarding a male adult threatening to fight a metro security call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro security officer (victim), who stated that an adult male (suspect) was seen urinating on Metro property. When asked to leave the premises, the suspect became agitated and attempted to punch the victim. The victim thus deployed his pepper spray, which contacted the suspect. The suspect was subsequently arrested for indecent exposure, trespassing, and challenging to fight. The suspect was transported to the local Hospital for further medical evaluation due to pepper spray exposure.

Traffic Collision – Bus Vs. Motorcycle
Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Eastern Ave and Washington Blvd. in the city of Commerce regarding an MTA bus vs. motorcycle traffic collision on Eastern Avenue. The bus, traveling northbound, collided with the motorcycle. Los Angeles County Fire responded. The motorcyclist suffered a right-hand injury but refused hospital transport. No injuries were reported on the bus. The bus sustained unknown damage, while the motorcycle was heavily damaged. East Los Angeles Sheriff Station will investigate.
