School Resource Deputy
The primary mission of the SRD is to maintain and uphold a safe and secure learning environment while fostering positive relationships within the school community. To achieve the mission effectively, the SRD Program should embrace multiple roles including that of mentor/educator, counselor, and peace officer.
While SRDs may interact with students and address safety concerns, their primary role is that of a law enforcement officer. By recognizing and adhering to these principles, SRDs can effectively fulfill their responsibilities to maintain safety and security within the school environment.
