Assault on Metro Security – Suspect Arrested
TSB Deputies responded to Downtown Santa Monica Metro Passenger Station, regarding an Assault on Metro Security personnel. Deputies arrived and contacted Metro Security (victim) who stated a male adult (suspect) was attempting to board a Metro train without paying the fare. The suspect was told to pay for his fare or leave the property. The suspect became angered and assaulted the victim by punching him in the face. The victim defended himself by punching back. The victim also used pepper spray and a baton to overcome the suspects’ resistance. Additional Metro Security personnel assisted and were able to overcome the suspect’s resistance and place him into handcuffs. The suspect was arrested.
Possession of a Weapon (Sword) on Transit Property – Suspect Arrested
TSB deputies responded to Slauson Metro Passenger Station for reports of an individual brandishing a machete on the platform call for service. Upon arrival, deputies located a male adult (suspect) in possession of a large sword. The suspect was detained without further incident. The suspect was arrested.

Train Vs. Vehicle – Vehicle Driver Injured
TSB Deputies respond to 3rd street/Ditman Avenue in the city of East Los Angeles regarding a train vs. vehicle traffic collision. Upon arrival Deputies contacted the train operator who stated a Black Honda, made a southbound turn from 3rd Street in front of the train causing a collision. After the train and the vehicle collided, the train derailed off the tracks. The train had numerous passengers onboard who at the time of this incident did not complain of any pain or injury. The patrons were offloaded and boarded a Metro bus. The driver was treated by LA County Fire and transported to a local hospital for unknown injuries. The train service was disrupted until the investigation was completed and Metro personnel attended to the derailed train. The traffic report will be completed by the California Highway Patrol Office.

Assault on Bus Operator – Suspect Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to Atlantic Boulevard/Live Oak Street, in the city of Cudahy regarding an assault on a bus operator call for service. Upon arrival Deputies contacted the bus operator (victim) who stated a male adult (suspect) was yelling and screaming asking for help on the bus. The bus
operator pulled the bus over at the above location to check on the welfare of the suspect. The bus operator stepped out from behind his safety enclosed area to talk to the suspect. The suspect without warning pushed the operator into the safety barrier causing the bus operator to fall toward the operator’s seat. The suspect exited the bus in an unknown direction and out of view. The victim was treated on scene by LA County Fire however refused transportation to a local hospital. The suspect is still outstanding.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Cane) – Suspect Outstanding
TSB Deputy was flagged down by a male adult (victim) who stated that he was struck in the head with a cane by an unknown male adult (suspect) while waiting on the train. The victim was bleeding from his left ear. Responding Deputies searched for the suspect but were unable to locate him. LA County Fire responded and treated the victim who was transported to a local hospital. The suspect is still outstanding.

Domestic Battery – Suspect Arrested
TSB Deputies responded to El Centro Avenue/Orange Grove Avenue, in the city of Pasadena regarding a domestic battery call for service. Deputies arrived and contacted both male and female adult (suspect/victim) who were in a dating relationship. Deputies contacted witnesses who stated they observed suspect/victims involved in an argument which quickly escalated into a violent physical confrontation. Neither male nor female suspect/victim sustained any visible injuries. The female suspect/victim told Deputies she ingested fentanyl before their contact at which time she was transported to local hospital for further medical evaluation. Both suspect/victims were arrested.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to Del Mar Metro Passenger Station, regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated she was on the platform waiting on the train when a male adult (suspect) approached her and became argumentative. During the argument the suspect picked up a rock and threw it at the victim. The rock caused a laceration to the suspects forehead. LA County Fire responded and transported the victim to local hospital. The suspect fled the area on foot and out of view. The suspect is still outstanding.

Robbery – Suspects Arrested
TSB Deputies responded to Norwalk Metro Passenger Station, regarding a robbery call for service. Upon arrival Deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated, while on the train he was approached by two juveniles who asked him a question. While speaking with the Juveniles they forcefully took his cellphone out of his hands. The suspects were detained a short while later by Deputies. The suspects were arrested.
Robbery – Suspects Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station, regarding a robbery call for service. Upon arrival Deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated, while riding the train northbound from Compton Metro Passenger Station, he was approached by five suspects who punched him several times in the face/upper body and forcefully took his cellphone and wallet containing $20 in cash. The victim was extremely intoxicated and was unable to provide any further details about the incident. The victim was treated on scene by LA County Fire and transported to local hospital. The victim sustained redness, swelling and several abrasions to his face. The suspects are all outstanding.
Domestic Violence – Two Suspects Arrested
TSB Deputies responded to Willowbrook Passenger Station regarding a family disturbance call for service. Deputies contacted both parties involved. While conducting their investigation, deputies determined both parties were equally involved. Both parties were arrested. Due to the nature of the call Los Angeles County Fire Department, responded and treated both for non-life-threatening injuries. Both suspects were transported and booked.

Drinking in Public/Open Container – Suspect Arrested
TSB Deputies conducted a platform check of the Norwalk Metro Passenger Station. Deputies observed a female adult (suspect) drinking from an open alcoholic container. The deputies approached the suspect to detain and cite her for the open alcohol beverage. While detaining the suspect, a deputy involved, use of force occurred. One of the deputies grabbed both suspects’ arms to place them behind her back. While placing the suspect’s arms behind her back, the suspect flung her arms in an upward forward motion and broke free from the Deputy’s grasp. The Deputies immediately regained control and detained the suspect without further incident.
While the suspect was detained in the backseat of the patrol car, the suspect then began to spit in the direction of the front seat where Deputies were seated. The suspects spit landed on the neck of one of the Deputies. The suspect was transported to the local hospital for medical evaluation. The Deputy was treated and released. The suspect was arrested and booked at the local Sheriff Station.

Robbery – Suspect Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded Hawthorne Metro Passenger Station, regarding a robbery call for service. Deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated while on the platform she was approached by an unknown male adult (suspect) who without provocation punched her then grabbed her phone. The victim attempted to maintain control of the phone however the suspect produced a pen and slashed the victim across the face. The victim sustained a laceration to the left cheek. The victim was treated on scene by LA County Fire. The suspect fled the location on foot and out of view.
Suspicious Person – Suspect Arrested
TSB Deputies responded to a suspicious person’s call for service at the Norwalk Metro Passenger Station. Deputies contacted an adult male (suspect) matching the description on the call. As Deputies detained the suspect, they applied control holds by grabbing the suspect’s arms from behind. The suspect resisted Deputies efforts momentarily while being handcuffed. The suspect did not have any injuries, nor did he complain of any pain. No deputy personnel were injured. Once the deputies ended their investigation, it was determined the suspect did not have any weapons, drugs or contraband on his person. It was also determined the suspect was not under the influence of any narcotics or alcohol. The suspect was released in the field without incident.
