Robbery — Suspects Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to Slauson Metro Passenger Station regarding a robbery report call for service. Deputies contacted a male adult (Victim) who stated that while he was standing on the platform, he was approached by five adult males. Suspect 1 forcefully pulled the victim’s cellphone out of his hand. When the victim reached out to attempt to retrieve his cellphone, the suspect punched him in the face. The suspects fled the location on foot. The victim was medically treated on scene and refused medical transport to a hospital.

Narcan Deployed
TSB Deputies responding to Norwalk Metro Passenger Station regarding a disturbance call for service on a bus observed an adult male who was unresponsive. Deputies administered two doses of Narcan, which successfully revived the patron. The patron was transported to a local hospital in stable condition pending further medical evaluation.
Bus Versus Vehicle Traffic Collision
TSB Deputies responded to the intersection of Los Robles Avenue and Orange Grove Boulevard in the City of Pasadena regarding a vehicle vs MTA bus collision. The bus operator was parked and was offloading patrons when a vehicle exiting a shopping center just east of the bus struck the rear bumper. No injuries were reported. Officers assigned to Pasadena Police Department responded and assumed responsibility for the investigation.

Battery on a Peace Officer – Suspect Arrested
A TSB Deputy responded to the intersection of Imperial Highway and Western Avenue in the City of Los Angeles regarding a disturbance call for service. The deputy contacted an adult male (Suspect) who refused to exit the bus, which was out of service. The deputy gave the suspect several commands, but the suspect refused to comply. The suspect assault the deputy and a use of force occurred. A second TSB deputy arrived on scene. The suspect was arrested and transported to a local hospital prior to booking. The deputy was transported to another local hospital in stable condition pending further medical evaluation.
Robbery – Suspects Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded the 5000 block of Myrtle Avenue in the City of Long Beach regarding a robbery report call. Deputies contacted an adult male (Victim) who stated while onboard a train arriving at Firestone Metro Passenger Station, three male adult and two female adults (Suspects) approached the victim and his family on the train and blocked him from exiting at Firestone Station. The victim stated one of the suspects held on to the victim’s bike and said, “Who wants to die today for a bike? I will smoke you.” The victim stated a second suspect produced a gun and demanded all the victims’ bikes. The victims, in fear for their lives, gave their four bikes to the suspects. The suspects fled the location. The victims were not injured during the incident.

Person Deceased
TSB Deputies responded to the intersection of Central Avenue and Florence Avenue in the City of Los Angeles regarding a deceased patron on a Metro bus. The local fire department pronounced the adult female deceased at 1954 hours. There were no signs of foul play. The decedent was transported via ambulance from the location.
Resisting a Peace Officer – Suspect Arrested
TSB Deputies assigned to the Commuter Enhancement Team (CET) were conducting a platform check at Sierra Madre Villa Metro Passenger Station when they observed two Pasadena Police Department Officers attempting to detain a male adult (Suspect – shoplifting) on the train. As the two officers attempted to detain the suspect, he refused to cooperate with them. While TSB Deputies assisted the Pasadena PD Officers with the suspect, the suspect began to pull away from the officers. A use of force occurred. The suspect was handcuffed and arrested by Pasadena PD without further incident. No injuries occurred during the incident.
Serial Robberies – Subjects Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to Slauson Metro Passenger Station regarding a robbery call for service. The deputies contacted an adult male (Victim 1) who stated he was standing near the turnstiles while holding his cell phone in his hand. A juvenile male (Subject) walked up to him and grabbed his phone out of his hand. The suspect fled the location on foot along with 4-5 male juveniles. Following a crime broadcast, assisting units searched the area, but were unable to locate the subjects.
TSB Deputies were notified that an adult male (Victim 2) was in the station’s lobby. Victim 2 stated he was standing on the platform when he was approached by 4-5 male juveniles. The subjects surrounded him. One of the subjects pulled out a screwdriver and pressed the pointed end into Victim 2’s abdomen. The subject demanded the victim’s property. A bystander witnessing the robbery yelled at the subjects who fled the location.
TSB Deputies responded to a third robbery report call related to the same subjects. Deputies contacted an adult male (Victim 3) who stated the subjects took his electric scooter by force. The subjects fled the location on foot and out of view.
TSB Deputies responded to the residence of a fourth robbery victim. The adult male (Victim 4) stated he was waiting for the train on the platform when the subjects approached him with a screwdriver and demanded his phone. One of the subjects punched the victim and grabbed the victim’s phone. The subjects fled the location. The victim refused medical treatment.

Arrest Made – Aggravated Assault
TSB Deputies located and arrested a suspect wanted for aggravated assault. The incident occurred on Friday, July 19th on the Blue/A-Line tracks between Irwindale and Azusa. A Metro rail operator was operating a train when he saw an adult male (Suspect) and another individual on the right-of-way. When the operator activated the train horn to alert the suspect to move, the suspect pulled a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the operator. The suspect fled the location prior to deputies’ arrival, but was identified, located, and arrested without incident.
