November 20, 2024

Robbery (Strong Arm) – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Florence Avenue and Locust Street in the city of Inglewood regarding a robbery call for service.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted an adult female (victim) who stated she was traveling southbound on the metro bus and got into a verbal argument with a group of riders (the suspect and three accomplices) who were being loud.  The bus operator noticed a commotion and stopped the bus.  The victim further stated she was going to call 911 when suspect 1 slapped her across the face and forcefully took her phone from her hand.  The suspect and the three accomplices exited the bus and smashed her phone as they ran off the bus and out of view. The victim sustained redness to the face.  Inglewood Fire responded to treat the victim for her injuries; however, the victim refused to be transported for medical treatment.  Deputies searched for the suspects but were unable to locate them. The suspects are still outstanding.

Traffic Collision Train Vs. Vehicle – Minor Injuries

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Graham Avenue and Nadeau Street in the city of Los Angeles regarding a vehicle vs Metro Transit Authority (MTA) train collision. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the train operator, who stated the train was going northbound on the A-line, and the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Nadeau Street when it collided with the train, causing a collision. Injuries were reported for the driver of the vehicle and a patron on the train. The vehicle’s driver was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation by Compton Fire. California Highway Patrol will investigate the traffic collision. 

Traffic Collision Bus Vs. Vehicle – Minor Injuries

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Crenshaw Blvd and 112th Street, in the city of Inglewood, regarding a vehicle vs Metro Transit Authority (MTA) bus collision. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the bus operator, who stated the bus was traveling southbound on Crenshaw Blvd and 112th Street when it collided with the vehicle.  Minor injuries were reported.  The MTA Supervisor responded to the scene along with the Inglewood Police Department.  The bus and vehicle sustained minor damages.  Inglewood Police Department will investigate the traffic collision.

Robbery (Strong Arm) – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Willowbrook Metro Passenger station regarding a robbery call for service.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted an adult male (victim) who stated he was on the northbound train holding his cell phone in his hand when he was approached by an adult male (suspect) who walked up to him and forcefully grabbed his cell phone out of his hand and fled the location on foot. Deputies conducted a search of the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect is still outstanding.

Traffic Collision Bus Vs. Vehicle – Minor Injuries

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Griffith Street and Figueroa Street in the city of Carson regarding a vehicle vs Metro Transit Authority (MTA) bus collision. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the bus operator, who stated the bus was traveling westbound on Griffith Street and Figueroa Street when it collided with the vehicle.  Minor injuries were reported.  The MTA Supervisor and the Carson Sheriff’s Station responded to the scene.  The bus and vehicle sustained minor damages.  Carson Sheriff’s Station will investigate the traffic collision.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) deputies responded to 26th / Bergamot Street Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted an adult male (witness) who stated two adult males’ (suspects) approached an adult male (victim) on the platform and started punching and kicking him. Suspect 1 pushed the victim onto the tracks. Both suspects left the location in an unknown direction.

Santa Monica Fire responded and transported the victim to a local hospital for further evaluation. The victim is listed as in stable condition. The suspects are still outstanding. 

Sexual Assault – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) deputies responded to the 26th / Bergamot Street Metro Passenger Station regarding a sexual assault & kidnapping call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted an adult female (victim) who stated she exited the train at the Atlantic Metro Passenger Station when the train went out of service. The victim was walking towards the park when she was approached from behind by an adult male (Suspect). The suspect grabbed the victim by her neck, stated he had a gun, and kidnapped the victim. The suspect then forced the victim to walk further into the park and sexually assaulted the victim.  The victim broke free from the suspect, ran back to the train station, and boarded the Metro train toward Santa Monica.

The victim stated that the suspect followed her back onto the train. While on the train, the suspect approached the victim again and began choking her. A bystander intervened and contacted law enforcement. Deputies, along with local Police, arrived and took the suspect into custody.  Santa Monica Fire responded and transported the victim to a local hospital for further evaluation. The suspect was arrested.    

November 14, 2024

Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Pole) – Suspects Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) deputies responded to Slauson Metro Passenger Station regarding a suspicious person’s call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted an adult male (victim) who stated he was smoking “meth” with an adult female companion named “Troubles” in the elevator at the location when an adult male (suspect 1) approached him. Suspect 1 approached the victim and asked, “Why are you fucking with my homegirl?”  Suspect one then began to hit the victim with a two-foot metal pole on the right side of his face and body. Simultaneously, the victim said three additional male adults (Suspect 2,3 & 4) approached him and began to punch him in the face and body. The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The victim sustained injuries to the right side of his face and complained of pain in his stomach and body.  Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and transported the victim to the local hospital for treatment of his injuries. TSB Deputies conducted for the suspects, but the suspects were not located.
