September 25, 2025

ADW – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Florence Metro Passenger Station regarding a person with a knife call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies were informed the male adult (victim) had already left the location. Deputies were further informed that a male adult (suspect) was still on the platform. Upon contacting the suspect and detaining him, the suspect stated he was involved in a fight with the victim on the platform. The suspect further stated he produced a machete and attacked the victim. The victim was able to disarm the suspect and threw the machete out of the suspect’s reach. Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage showed the victim suffered injuries to his right hand, but the extent of his injuries is unknown. The suspect was arrested for the charge listed above. The suspect sustained no injuries. The machete was recovered and booked into evidence. The suspect was arrested.

ADW – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Artesia Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault with a deadly weapon report call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated, while onboard the train, he witnessed the male adult (suspect) pour gasoline from a gas tank onto the train floor. The victim said he also saw the suspect pull out a lighter and hold it over the gasoline spilled on the floor. The victim was able to kick the lighter out of the suspect’s hand to prevent a fire. The suspect then pulled a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the victim, telling the victim he was going to shoot him. The victim immediately exited the train. The victim stated that the suspect left the metro train station and ran north, out of view. Due to the delay in reporting the incident, TSB Deputies were unable to locate the suspect. The victim suffered no injuries in this incident. The suspect is still outstanding.

ADW – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Firestone Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated, while inside the stopped train, he witnessed the male adult (suspect) touch an unknown female inappropriately on her buttocks. The victim intervened and told the suspect to respect the female. The suspect then pulled a folding knife from his pocket and lunged at the victim. The victim, fearing for his safety, immediately got off the train and called the police. The victim said the suspect remained on the train, which left the station heading southbound. TSB units searched for the suspect but met with negative results. The victim suffered no injuries. The suspect is still outstanding.

September 23, 2025

Vandalism – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Imperial Hwy and Western Av, in the city of Los Angeles, regarding a vandalism call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro bus operator, who stated she saw a male adult (suspect) exit the bus.  As the suspect was exiting the bus, he hit the window with his right hand, breaking the glass.  The supervisor estimated the cost of replacing the window to be $326.68. The Metro bus operator stated the suspect fled westbound on Imperial Highway and out of view.

September 22, 2025

Battery on Metro Contract Security – Suspect Cited

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Norwalk Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro contract security (victim), who stated that a male adult (suspect) was loitering on the platform and asked him to leave.  The contract security escorted the suspect off the platform and upstairs to the street level.  While escorting the suspect off the platform, the suspect turned towards the contract security personnel and spat food on their shoes.  The contract security detained the suspect, pending the arrival of deputy personnel. The contract security was desirous of prosecution and signed a “Private Person’s” arrest for the suspect.  The suspect was cited and released in the field. The contract security was not injured during the incident.

September 21, 2025

ADW – Suspect Arrested / Subject Cited

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Lakewood Bl and Rose Av, in the city of Downey, regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a male juvenile (subject) and a male adult (suspect) who stated, while on the bus, they sat next to each.  The subject and suspect got into an argument, which quickly escalated into a violent confrontation at which time the suspect pulled out a box cutter, and the subject pulled out a knife. The subject was detained for the indicated charge and later cited and released to his parent.  The suspect was arrested and booked for the indicated charge. The subject and suspect were not injured during this incident. Suspect Arrested, and the subject was cited.

September 20, 2025

ADW / Attempted Robbery – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to a local Hospital, regarding an assault with a deadly weapon and attempted robbery report call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated, while waiting for the train at the Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station, she was approached by a female adult (suspect), who attempted to take her cellphone by force. The victim’s cellphone fell to the ground, and a fight ensued between the suspect and the victim. The suspect then left the location in an unknown direction and out of view. The victim said that as she picked up her cellphone, she also saw a foldable knife on the ground but did not realize the knife had been used during the assault by the suspect. Once the victim was home, she realized she had been stabbed multiple times in her abdomen by the suspect. The victim was transported to a local Hospital, where she remains under observation for non-life-threatening injuries. Due to the time delay in reporting the incident, TSB deputies were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect is still outstanding.

Sexual Battery – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Central Ave and Hardy St, in the city of Inglewood, regarding a sexual battery call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated that she was approached by an adult male (suspect) on the bus. The suspect, who was a stranger to the victim, began to ask the victim for her name and other personal questions, which the victim ignored. Due to the bus being crowded, the victim and suspect were standing close to each other in the front of the bus. The victim said that when she was able to move toward the back of the bus, she felt the suspect’s hand groping her buttocks. The victim said she then exited the bus on Crenshaw Blvd. and Hardy St. and went home, where she called the police. Due to the delay in reporting the incident, TSB units were unable to search for the suspect. The suspect is still outstanding.

September 18, 2025

ADW – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Monrovia Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault on Metro employees, call for service. Before the Deputies’ arrival, the male adult (suspect) had already left the location. The victim told deputies that while working on lighting equipment in the area, the suspect approached the victim and, without provocation, produced a knife from his pocket. The victim, fearing for his safety, pushed the suspect to the side and distanced himself from the suspect. The suspect was then seen running from the area in an unknown direction and out of view. A witness to the incident advised TSB deputies of the suspect’s location in a nearby business. TSB units located the suspect, and the victim positively identified him.  The suspect was subsequently arrested by TSB personnel for the above charge and taken into custody without further incident. The victim did not suffer any injuries from this incident. The suspect is still outstanding.

September 11, 2025

Robbery – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Long Beach Metro Passenger Station regarding a theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated that while sitting on the train, he was approached by a female adult (suspect) who walked up to him while holding a pepper spray can in her right hand. The victim stated that the suspect motioned to the victim without saying a word, asking him to hand over his property. The victim said he feared for his life and gave the suspect his backpack containing a cellphone, his CA ID card, and other miscellaneous items, valued at $70.  The victim said the suspect then walked out of the train at the Long Beach Metro Passenger Station in an unknown direction and out of view. The victim did not suffer any injuries. The suspect is still currently outstanding.

September 10, 2025

Attempted Robbery – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Metro Passenger Station regarding a criminal threat, a person with a knife, and a call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who saw an adult male (suspect) near the Metro Customer Center and identified him as the person who threatened him with a knife.  The deputies attempted to contact and detain the suspect, but he ignored their commands and walked away.  Utilizing their radio, Deputies called for additional units, and a short foot pursuit ensued. The suspect was detained during a takedown and taken into custody. It was later determined that the suspect attempted to rob the victim by using a homemade knife. The suspect was arrested.

September 08, 2025

Grand Theft (Copper Wire)– No Suspect information

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Douglas Metro Passenger Station regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that track personnel discovered 260 feet of missing copper wire during a track inspection. The Metro Supervisor was unable to provide a date for the last track inspection. There was no suspect description. The supervisor estimated the cost of replacing the copper wire to be $10,000.

September 05, 2025

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies with the Commuter Enhancement Team (CET) responded to the Duarte Metro Passenger Station regarding a disturbance call for service. Upon the Deputies’ arrival on the platform, they were alerted by patrons that the person they were looking for was on the west side of the platform. Deputies contacted an adult male (suspect). Deputies gave the suspect several verbal commands to turn around and be handcuffed, which appeared to indicate that the suspect was complying. The suspect then picked up several rocks, walked over to the Deputies, stopping a few feet from them, and threw rocks at them, striking one of the Deputies in the chest with the rocks.

One of the Deputies immediately deployed his Taser 10 toward the suspect, which had the desired effect, causing the suspect to fall on the ground and be handcuffed without further incident. The suspect sustained minor taser dart puncture wounds; however, they did not complain of any other pain. Deputies were not injured. The suspect was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.  During the deputies’ investigation, they discovered that the suspect had assaulted two female patrons on the platform before their arrival.

September 04, 2025

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Telegraph Road and Tubeway Avenue in the city of Commerce regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the female adult (victim), who stated that while she was on the bus, an argument ensued with a female adult (suspect). Without provocation, the suspect pepper-sprayed the victim. The suspect then produced a tire iron and threatened the victim with it. The bus operator intervened and prevented the suspect from exiting the bus. Upon the Deputies’ arrival, they were safely able to detain the suspect. The suspect was positively identified and arrested for the assault without incident. Los Angeles County Fire responded to the location to treat the victim for her injuries, but she refused all medical treatment.

September 04, 2025

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Telegraph Road and Tubeway Avenue in the city of Commerce regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the female adult (victim), who stated that while she was on the bus, an argument ensued with a female adult (suspect). Without provocation, the suspect pepper-sprayed the victim. The suspect then produced a tire iron and threatened the victim with it. September 03, 2025

Robbery / Domestic Violence – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the local hospital regarding a Domestic Violence call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated that while waiting for the train at the Slauson Metro Passenger Station, the victim saw her ex-boyfriend (male adult – suspect) approaching her. The victim quickly boarded a southbound train in an attempt to get away from the suspect.  The suspect followed her onto the train and attacked the victim.  He placed the victim in a choke hold and bit her face and one of her fingers.  He stole her two tote bags during the struggle.  The altercation continued until the victim and suspect exited the train at Wardlow Metro Passenger Station.  After leaving the train, the victim was able to call the police, and the suspect fled eastbound off the platform. Deputies returned to the area and searched for the suspect but were unable to locate him. The victim was treated on scene and transported to the local hospital for further evaluation. The suspect is still outstanding.

Assault on Metro Bus Operator – Suspect Cited

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Firestone Boulevard and Lakewood Boulevard in the city of Downey regarding a battery on a Metro bus operator call for service.  Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the bus operator (victim), who stated that when the bus reached the end of the line, the victim approached a female adult (suspect) who was sleeping in the rear of the bus. The victim woke the suspect up and asked her to exit the bus. The suspect became agitated and refused to exit the bus.  The victim went to the front of the bus, stating she was going to call the police.  At which time the suspect followed the victim to the front of the bus and used the barrier door to hit the victim twice.  The victim retreated behind the barrier door, and the suspect sat down on the bus.  Deputies arrived and arrested the suspect. The suspect was issued a citation with a promise to appear in court for the above charge. The victim was treated on scene but refused transportation to the local hospital.

Assault on Transit Passenger / Criminal Threats – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Artesia Metro Passenger Station regarding an Assault with a Deadly Weapon, now call for service.  Upon arrival, Deputies contacted two female adults and one male adult (victims) who stated the two female passengers were waiting for the train when a male adult (suspect) approached them and started threatening them.  The female victims said they were afraid the suspect was going to attack them.  The male victim intervened to de-escalate the situation, at which time the suspect, without warning, struck the male victim one time, knocking him unconscious.  The suspect then fled the scene.  Deputies searched the surrounding area and located and arrested the suspect for the above charges. The victim was treated on scene but refused transportation to the hospital.

August 31, 2025

Assault on Metro Bus Operator – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Norwalk Metro Passenger Bus Bay regarding a battery on a Metro bus operator’s call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted Metro Bus Operator (victim), who stated that, as she stepped out of the bus to use the restroom, a male adult (suspect) boarded the bus. When the victim returned to the bus, she saw the suspect and another passenger involved in a verbal altercation. The victim sat down in the driver’s seat as the suspect attempted to use the front door of the bus to exit. The victim got up from her seat to advise the suspect to use the rear door instead. The suspect, without provocation, head-butted the victim and exited the bus. The victim suffered noticeable swelling on her forehead. She was treated at the scene by the Los Angeles County Fire Department and transported to a local hospital for further medical evaluation. The suspect was located in the area by TSB deputies and arrested for the above-listed charge.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Downtown Azusa Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a male adult (suspect) who was seated on a bench on the platform when a male adult (victim) approached and sat next to the suspect. The suspect told the victim to move away. Both individuals stood up and faced each other, at which point the suspect produced a knife and, without provocation, slashed the victim on the top of the left hand. Following the assault, the victim moved away, and the suspect fled the scene on a bicycle and out of view. The victim sustained a 6-inch laceration to the top of his left hand and was transported to the local hospital for medical evaluation.

Grand Theft (Copper Wire)– No Suspect information

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Norwalk Metro Passenger Station regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that a locked toolbox was damaged and approximately $5,000 in power tools were taken. There were also two rolls of copper wire, valued at roughly $800 each, that were taken from the parked vehicle. There was no suspect description. The supervisor estimated the cost of replacing the copper wire to be $6,600.

Possible Sexual Assault – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Ocean Avenue and Bay Street in the city of Santa Monica regarding a traffic collision. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated she fell asleep on the Metro bus in the city of Santa Monica. At that time, another female adult (possible suspect) took her earrings from her pants pocket and digitally penetrated her while she was sleeping. The victim was transported to the local hospital for further evaluation. The possible suspect is still outstanding.

Battery on Metro Passenger – Suspects Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies were already at the Florence Metro Passenger Station, for an unrelated call, when they were flagged down by a male and female adult (victims), who stated that while riding on the train, an argument ensued between the female victim and female adult (suspect #3). Suspect #3 was also accompanied by two male adults (suspects). Victim #3 said that when her boyfriend, victim #2, intervened to stop the argument, all three suspects began punching both victims. Both victims said the suspects eventually stopped hitting them and exited the train at the Florence Metro Passenger Station. The victims said they stayed on the train and got off at Firestone Metro Passenger Station. Both victims suffered minor scratches on their faces but declined medical attention. A search for the suspects met with negative results. The suspects are still outstanding.

August 30, 2025

Train Vs. Pedestrian – Persons Injured

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Firestone Metro Passenger Station regarding a train vs pedestrian call for service.  Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro train operator, who stated the train was in motion heading Northbound from the station. The operator saw a male adult (patient) lying on the ground close to the tracks ahead of him, and he immediately applied the brakes. The train operator got off the train and saw blood on the tracks and the patient lying next to the train. The patient was found unconscious but with a pulse.  He suffered swelling and lacerations on his face. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and treated the patient for his non-life-threatening injuries. The patient was subsequently transported to the local hospital for further medical observation and treatment.

Vandalism – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station regarding a vandalism just occurred call for service.   While en route, Deputies were given an updated description of the male adult (suspect). They were further informed that the suspect was seen burning the camera inside one of the elevators on the platform. The suspect fled the scene before the deputies’ arrival. TSB Deputies searched for the suspect in the area, but they were unable to locate him.

Battery on Metro Patron /Indecent Exposure – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Culver City Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery just occurred call for service.   Upon arriving, Deputies contacted two female adults (victims). Victim 1 told deputies that she was riding a westbound train with her daughter (victim #2).  They were approached by a male adult (suspect) with his penis exposed as the train was pulling in at the Culver City Metro Passenger Station.  The male was touching his penis and walking toward them, yelling.  Victim #1 attempted to shield victim #2, prompting the suspect to punch victim #1 once in the face.  When the train stopped at the station, the suspect ran out of the train, down the stairs, and out of view.  Both victims were offended by the suspect’s lewd conduct.  Culver City Fire responded to treat victim #1 on scene—victim #1 sustained minor swelling and redness to her left cheek.  Deputies searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him. 

Battery – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Century Boulevard and Prairie Avenue in the city of Inglewood regarding a battery call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted two male adults (victims) who stated that when the bus stopped at the above location to pick up/drop off passengers, a male adult (suspect) boarded the bus. The victims said that without provocation, the suspect punched both victims multiple times and then exited the bus. Before the deputies’ arrival, the suspect left the location in an unknown direction and out of view. Both victims suffered minor injuries to their faces and bodies. Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to the location, treating both victims for their injuries. A search for the suspect met with negative results.

August 29, 2025

Train Vs. Pedestrian – Persons Injured

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Compton Metro Passenger Station regarding a train vs pedestrian call for service.  Upon arrival, Deputies were informed that a female adult (patient) was transported to the local hospital for further evaluation. Deputies were told the patient attempted to walk across the train tracks as a Metro train was already in motion, leaving the station. The patient was hit by the side of the train and thrown a few feet away from the tracks. Compton Fire Department responded and assessed the accident. No other injuries were reported.

Train Vs. Vehicle – Driver Injured

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to 3rd Street and Ford Boulevard in the city of East Los Angeles regarding a traffic collision. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted California Highway Patrol (CHP), who informed them that one male (driver) was transported to the local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries to his head and his left side. The vehicle was traveling North on Ford Boulevard and attempted to make a westbound turn on 3rd Street when the train collided with the driver’s side of the car. The collision sent the vehicle onto the sidewalk of King Taco, causing further property damage. There were no injuries reported.

Domestic Violence – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Downtown Azua Metro Passenger Station regarding a domestic disturbance now on call for service.  Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated she and a male adult (suspect) exited the train at the Downtown Azua Metro Passenger Station, when the suspect asked the victim to go home with him, which the victim refused and stated she wanted to go to her place. The suspect became angry and slapped the victim on her cheek, leaving a raised welt. The victim walked away from the suspect; however, the suspect followed her to a local 7-11 and kicked her. The suspect then fled the location in an unknown direction. The victim refused medical attention.

August 27, 2025

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the El Monte Bus Station regarding an Assault with a Deadly Weapon now on call for service.  Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated that while on the bus, he got into a verbal altercation with another male adult (suspect).  During the incident, the suspect threatened to stab the victim.  The victim, fearing for his safety, moved to the back of the bus.  When they arrived at the El Monte terminal, the suspect pulled out a knife from his waistband and followed the victim around, threatening him. Deputies contacted the suspect, interviewed him and the witnesses, and arrested him for the above charge. Neither the victim nor the suspect was injured during the incident.

Sexual Battery – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Memorial Park Metro Passenger Station regarding a possible sexual battery.  Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female (victim), who told them that while riding the Metro, she was touched inappropriately by a male adult (suspect).  The suspect was already on the train when he sat next to her and began a conversation.  The suspect reached down with his hand and rubbed it on the victim’s leg.  The victim told the suspect to stop, but he continued to get closer and put his arm around her body, touching her right breast.  The victim was able to break free and contacted Metro personnel as the train pulled into the station.  The suspect exited the train and left the area on foot.  The victim was not injured during the incident.  A search for the suspect met with negative results. 

Battery on Transit Passenger – Suspect Cited

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery call.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who reported that while she was boarding a bus, an unknown male adult (suspect) became impatient and threw his property onto the bus.  The suspect then kicked the victim.  A brief fight ensued, and the suspect left the location and out of view. Deputies located the suspect nearby and took him into custody.  The suspect refused to make any statements.  Deputies cited and released the suspect for the above crime.  Los Angeles County Fire responded and treated the victim at the scene.  The victim refused transport.  The suspect was also treated at the location and refused transport. Suspect cited.

August 26, 2025

Attempt Robbery – Suspects Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Hawthorne Blvd/104th Street in the city of Hawthorne, regarding a fight call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a male adult (victim 1) and a female adult (victim 2) who told the deputies that while riding the bus, three teenagers (suspects 1,2 & 3) attempted to take the victim’s backpack and purse forcefully.  When the victims confronted the suspects, one of the male suspects brandished a knife in a threatening manner.  The male victim was able to wrestle the knife away from the suspect.  The suspects then punched both victims about a dozen times, causing the female victim’s nose to bleed.  The suspects fled the location.  Los Angeles County Fire responded and transported the female victim to the local hospital for further evaluation.  A search for the suspects yielded negative results.  The suspects are still outstanding at this time.

August 25, 2025

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies were patrolling the Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station area when they were flagged down regarding an Assault with a deadly weapon call for service that had just occurred. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who told deputies that while waiting at the bus stop (Bay 10), an argument ensued with a male adult (suspect) and escalated to a fist fight. The victim said the suspect picked up a skateboard and struck the victim on his upper body. The victim tried blocking the strikes but fell to the ground, causing a minor laceration to his upper lip. The suspect then fled the scene, riding his skateboard southbound on Willowbrook Ave, and out of view. A search for the suspect met with negative results. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and treated the victim on scene.

Sexual Battery – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station regarding a sexual battery call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who reported that as she exited the train, a male adult (suspect) also on the train exited and followed her. The suspect began to make conversation with the victim, but the victim ignored him. The suspect then grabbed the victim by her waist and touched her chest area without her consent. The victim flagged down security officers posted at the exits of Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station. The victim informed security officers of the incident, at which time they contacted TSB. Before the deputies arrived at the location, the suspect fled the scene and boarded another train heading south, out of view. Deputies were unable to locate the suspect. The victim was not injured during this incident.

August 24, 2025

Possession of a Dirk/Dagger – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies were patrolling the Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Metro Passenger Station when they saw a male adult (suspect) carrying a backpack in front of his body, with an approximate 1-inch handle protruding from the bag.  The handle appeared to be consistent with a large, bladed knife. Deputies detained the suspect for the above charges.  The suspect was subsequently arrested.

Vandalism – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Duarte Metro Passenger Station regarding a vandalism and a Delay/Obstruct Train Operations call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted witnesses who stated a male adult (suspect) vandalized an enclosed metal ‘Emergency Shut Off’ box for the Metro rail and then pushed the emergency ‘Stop Button.’  By pushing the stop button, this caused the Metro Train to be de-energized and stall on the train tracks for 15-20 minutes.  The suspect fled southbound into the riverbed and out of view.  Deputies searched for the suspect based on the descriptions provided by witnesses. The suspect was located in a nearby encampment. A Metro Supervisor estimated the total damages caused were approximately $6,000.  There were no reported injuries to Metro train passengers at the time of this incident.  The suspect was arrested for the above charges.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Handgun) – Suspect Unknown

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Fillmore Metro Passenger Station regarding an Assault with a Deadly Weapon call for service.  Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a witness who stated an unknown victim and an unknown suspect got into an argument while they were on the Metro train.  When the Metro train stopped at Fillmore Metro Passenger Station, the victim and suspect exited onto the platform. The suspect removed a handgun from a satchel and pointed it at the victim.  The suspect then fled southbound on the platform and out of view.  TSB units searched the area for evidence but yielded negative results.

Bus Vs. Pedestrian

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to City Terrace Dr. and Rowan Ave in the city of East Los Angeles, regarding a traffic collision involving an MTA bus and a pedestrian. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the California Highway Patrol and Metro supervisor, who stated that the bus was traveling east on City Terrace Dr. when it hit a pedestrian at the intersection. The pedestrian complained of pain in her arm and was transported to the local hospital for further evaluation. Deputies also contacted an additional bus operator, who stated that a similar incident involving the same pedestrian had occurred approximately one week prior. The bus operator noted that it appeared the pedestrian had purposely walked in front of the bus to collide with it. CHP is handling this incident.

Vandalism – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies were flagged down by a passenger (informant) at Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Metro Passenger Station. The informant reported that a male adult (suspect) had kicked out a glass panel on a Metro train. Deputy personnel detained the suspect pending a vandalism investigation. During the investigation, it was discovered that the incident occurred at the Compton Metro Passenger Station. The suspect was positively identified as the individual responsible for the damage. The Metro Supervisor responded to the scene and estimated the damage at $1,200. The suspect was arrested and charged with the above charges.

Grand Theft (Copper Wire)– No Suspect information

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Del Amo Metro Passenger Station regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that unknown persons had stolen approximately 800 feet of copper wire. There was no suspect description. The supervisor estimated the cost of replacing the copper wire to be $20,000. The suspect is still outstanding.

August 11, 2025

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the El Monte Metro Bus Terminal regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated that he boarded a Metro bus at 1st st. and Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles (LA) when an argument ensued between the victim and a male adult (suspect) on the bus. During the ride from Downtown LA to the El Monte terminal, the suspect punched the victim, and an assault occurred. The El Monte Police Department arrived at the scene before TSB deputies and detained the suspect. The suspect was arrested for the charges listed above. The victim was treated on scene by paramedics. The El Monte Police Department will handle the investigation.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Valley Boulevard and Atlantic Boulevard regarding an assault with a deadly weapon, call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated that she boarded a bus and was approached by a male adult (suspect), who started yelling at her for no apparent reason. The suspect then exited the bus and unprovokedly threw an aluminum can at the victim, striking the victim on the face, causing a minor laceration. The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries. TSB deputies searched the area, attempting to locate the suspect, but met with negative results. The suspect is still outstanding.

August 10, 2025

Trespassing – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Willobrook/Rosa Parks Metro Passenger Station regarding a trespassing call for service. Upon arrival, deputies detained an adult male (the suspect), who was walking along the train tracks, causing disruptions and delays in the train’s normal operations. The suspect was cited for trespassing charges; however, he remains in custody for a no-bail warrant. The suspect was booked for a no-bail warrant.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Compton Metro Passenger Station, regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted two female adults (victims 1 & 2) who stated that a male adult (suspect) believed they were laughing and making fun of him. An argument ensued between the suspect and the victims. The suspect produced a knife and a taser, threatening to use them against the victims. Deputies arrived and were able to detain the suspect. The victims were not injured. The suspect was later arrested and booked on the above charges.

August 08, 2025

Grand Theft – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Slauson Metro Passenger Station for an unrelated call for service of a suspicious person. During the call, Deputies were “flagged down” by a female adult (victim) who stated her cell phone was stolen by a male adult (suspect) while on the Metro Train.  The deputies detained the suspect pending investigation into a theft.  The victim had another cell phone and used it to call the stolen phone.  When the victim dialed the stolen phone, it rang and was recovered from the suspect. The victim positively identified the phone as hers.  The suspect was arrested and booked for the indicated charge.

Assault with Tear Gas – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies located a wanted female, adult (suspect) involved in several assaults in the city of Pasadena. On July 28, 2025, at the Allen Metro Passenger Station, the suspect sprayed Tear Gas at a Metro passenger’s (victim) face, causing injury to the victim.  A second incident occurred at South Pasadena Metro Passenger Station on July 30, 2025, where the suspect sprayed numerous Metro passengers (victims) in the facial area with Tear Gas, causing several injuries.  Information was distributed to the TSB personnel about the suspect and the incident.  On August 08, TSB deputies located and identified the suspect responsible for the above crimes. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above crimes. 

August 07, 2025

Robbery – Suspect Outstanding

Robbery – Suspect Outstanding

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to El Segundo Avenue and Hawthorne Boulevard in the city of Hawthorne, regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who the Los Angeles County Fire was treating.  The victim stated that while on the bus, he became involved in an argument with a male adult (Suspect). During the argument, the suspect punched the victim several times on the head and face.  The victim fell back and struck his head.  The suspect fled on a bicycle from the location and out of view.  Responding deputies searched for the suspect but were unable to locate the suspect.  The victim was transported to the local hospital for treatment and observation. The injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.  The suspect is still outstanding.

Assault on Metro Personnel – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Atlantic Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Employee (victim)  who stated he received complaints from Metro patrons regarding a male adult (suspect) loitering in the elevator.  The victim went to the elevator to ask the suspect to leave.  The suspect lunged at the victim with a sharp object in a threatening manner.  The responding deputies found the suspect in the vicinity and arrested him on the indicated charge.  The suspect was found in possession of scissors.  The victim was not injured.

Interrupting Rail Operations – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Downtown Santa Monica Metro Passenger Station regarding a delay in the Metro operation call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Security, who stated that a male adult (suspect) had climbed onto the roof of the Metro Train.  This delayed normal train operations.  The suspect was detained by Metro security and placed under arrest for the charges indicated.  

August 05, 2025

Possible Sexual Assault – No suspect

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Redondo Beach Bus Transit Center regarding a possible sexual assault call for service. During an investigation conducted by the TSB Detective unit, it was determined that no sexual assault occurred.

Traffic Collision – Bus Vs. Pedestrian

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Somerset Boulevard and Illinois Avenue in the city of Paramount, regarding a traffic collision call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Bus Operator (party 2), who stated that while driving westbound on Somerset Boulevard, Party #1 struck a small tree (planted along the sidewalk) with the passenger side mirror, causing the mirror to shatter.  A piece of the broken mirror struck a pedestrian (party 1) who was walking on the sidewalk.  The party 1 sustained a small ¼” scratch to the top of her head and had some redness to the area.  The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and treated party #1 on scene.  Lakewood Sheriff’s Station is conducting the traffic collision investigation. 

Battery on Transit Operator – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Redondo Beach Bus Transit Center regarding an assault call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Bus Operator (victim), who stated that while he was at the Transit Center, he became involved in a verbal argument with a male adult (suspect), who was trying to board his bus. The bus operator pulled out his cellphone to call the police, at which time the suspect slapped the bus operator’s hand, causing his cellphone to fall to the ground.  When the bus operator picked up his cellphone, the suspect punched him once in the face, and a physical altercation ensued.  The suspect then boarded the bus, and the bus operator continued his bus route.  The suspect exited the bus at 147th Street and Hawthorne Boulevard in Hawthorne and fled in an unknown direction.

The bus operator drove to Rosecrans Avenue and Hawthorne Boulevard, where he waited for deputies to arrive.  The bus operator sustained a bloody lip during the fight but refused medical treatment. The suspect is still outstanding.

July 31, 2025

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station regarding a robbery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a female adult (the victim) who stated that while she was on the platform waiting for the train to arrive, she was approached by another female adult (the suspect). Before the victim got onto the train car, the suspect approached the victim and, with both hands, snatched a yellow-colored chain from around the victim’s neck. There was a brief struggle during which the victim sustained a minor laceration to her neck. The suspect ran down the stairs towards the A-Line and out of view. The victim was treated by Los Angeles County Fire personnel for her injury but refused transportation to the hospital. Deputies searched the area for the suspect with negative results. There is no suspect info at this time. The suspect is still outstanding.

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station regarding a robbery call for service. The suspect sat next to the victim on the platform. When the train arrived both suspect and victim stood up and started to board the train. Before the victim got onto the train car the suspect approached the victim and with both hands snatched a yellow-colored chain from around the victim’s neck. There was a brief struggle during which the victim sustained a minor laceration to her neck. The suspect ran down the stairs towards the A-Line and out of view. Noteworthy Arrest – Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station

Transit Services Bureau (TSB), Special Assignment Unit (SAU) conducted a “Crime Suppression” Operation at the Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station. During the operation deputy personnel observed a male adult (suspect) spray painting on Metro property. The suspect was detained pending a vandalism investigation. A search of the suspect was conducted and deputies discovered the suspect was in possession of a dirk or dagger. The suspect was also in possession of a controlled substance for sales, possession of marijuana for sales and possession of a switchblade. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charges.

July 29, 2025

Robbery (Knife Used) – Suspect Not in Custody

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Compton Metro Passenger Station regarding a robbery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated while the train was pulled into the station and stopped, a male adult (suspect) grabbed the victim’s bicycle from his grasp and exited the train. When the victim started to go after his bicycle the suspect produced a knife and told the victim “Don’t come near me!” The victim, in fear for his safety, did not chase the suspect. The suspect exited the platform in an unknown direction and out of view. The victim called law enforcement and waited for deputies to arrive. Deputy personnel searched the area but met with negative results. There is no suspect info at this time. The suspect is still outstanding.

Battery on Metro Security – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Santa Monica Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Security Officers, who stated a male adult (suspect) who refused to exit the train and refused to re-tap to ride. The suspect ignored all requests made by security officers. When security attempted to escort the suspect off the train, the suspect attempted to bite two different security officers and slapped a third security officer. Metro Security was able to handcuff the suspect and waited for deputy personnel to arrive. Metro Security signed a “Private Persons Arrest” form. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charges.

Sexual battery – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies were conducting routine patrol checks of the El Monte Bus Terminal when they were flagged down by a female adult (victim) who stated as the bus was pulling into the terminal, the victim got up to exit the bus, a male adult (suspect) passenger got up to exit the bus as well. While exiting the bus the suspect grabbed the victim’s buttocks. The victim positively identified the suspect as the person who sexually assaulted her. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charges.

Assault With a Deadly Weapon (Carving tool) – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Sierra Madre Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, deputy personnel contacted a male adult (victim) who stated while he was on the platform, he got into a verbal argument with another male adult (suspect). The suspect produced a small carving tool and threatened the victim. The victim was not injured during the altercation. The suspect exited the platform and was detained by the Pasadena Police Department. The victim positively the suspect as the person who assaulted him. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charges.

Trespassing on Metro Property – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Compton Metro Passenger Station regarding a disturbance call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro security officer, who were already detaining a male adult (suspect) for trespassing. Metro security signed a “Private Person’s Arrest” form for the suspect. Additionally, the suspect was charged with violation of a parole warrant. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charges.

July 25, 2025

Battery on Metro Security – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Marine Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Security Officers, who stated a male adult (suspect) was asleep on the floor of a metro train when they made contact with the suspect. Metro security officers went to wake up the suspect and asked him to exit the train. As the suspect exited the train he pushed the security officer. The suspect was detained by Metro security officers and waited for deputy personnel to arrive. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charge.

July 24, 2025

Robbery/Attempted Robbery – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Artesia Metro Passenger Station regarding a petty theft call for service. Upon arrival, deputies detained a female adult (suspect), who was identified by the victim as the person who took her personal belongings. Once ethe suspect was secured in the backseat of a patrol vehicle, deputies contacted the victim. The victim stated while she was parked at the Artesia Transit Center, she went to the restroom and upon her return to the vehicle she saw the suspect taking her personal belongings from the Torrance Transit bus. The victim told the suspect “Ma’am that’s mine, give them back.” The suspect in response raised a plastic cup and yelled “That’s my bag! Don’t you come over here! I’ll kill you! I’ll kill You!” Fearing for her safety, the operator entered the Torrance Transit bus and called 911 and waited for deputy personnel to arrive. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charges. The victim was not injured during the incident and her belongings were recovered and returned to her.

Battery on Metro Security – Subject Cited

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Santa Monica Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Security Officers, who were already detaining a female (subject). Metro Security Officers stated the subject had entered the terminal without paying fare. The Metro security officer attempted to block the subject from entering the platform by standing in her path. The subject then pushed the security officer to get around her. Metro security officers detained the subject and waited for the arrival of deputy personnel. During the investigation it was determined the subject was a minor. The subject was cited and released to her father.

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Santa Monica Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Security Officers, who were already detaining a female adult (suspect). Metro Security Officers stated they contacted the suspect regarding fare inspection. The suspect headbutted and bit the security officers. Metro security was able to safely handcuff the suspect to the platform guard rails as they waited for deputy personnel to arrive. The suspected was arrested and booked for the above charges.

Attempted Robbery (Strong arm) – Suspect Not in Custody

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of Artesia Boulevard and Hawthorne Boulevard, in the city of Hawthorne regarding an attempted robbery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated while the was sitting on the bus a male adult (suspect) approached him and attempted to forcefully take his cell from his hands. The victim stated he was able to maintain control of his cell phone and the suspect let go. The suspect then exited the bus at Artesia Boulevard and fled in an unknown direction. here is no suspect info at this time. The suspect is still outstanding.

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault with a deadly weapon (knife) call for service. While deputies were responding to the location, the male adult (victim) was transported to a local hospital for his injuries. Deputies contacted the victim at the hospital. The victim stated while he was waiting for the train at the bus bay downstairs, a male adult (suspect) approached him and began to make small talk and told him he had a buyer for the victim’s laptop. A short time later, the victim proceeded to go upstairs to catch the train. The suspect followed him. The suspect then demanded the victim’s laptop. When the victim refused to give up his laptop the suspect stabbed him several times. The victim ran downstairs, and the suspect fled the location running northbound on Wilmington and out of view. There is no suspect info at this time. The suspect is still outstanding.

Battery on Metro Security – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Compton Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Security Officers, who were already detaining a male adult (suspect). Metro Security Officers stated the suspect had entered the terminal without paying fare, refused to leave and subsequently pushed three Metro Security Officers. The suspect was detained by security awaiting the arrival of deputy personnel. The suspected was arrested and booked for the above charges.

Attempted Robbery (Knife used) – Suspect Not in Custody

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Del Mar Metro Passenger Station regarding a robbery just occurred call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated while exiting the train at the Del Mar Station, he was approached by a male adult (suspect) who demanded a dollar from him. When the victim refused the suspect removed a small pocketknife from his person and held it against the victim’s stomach. The victim, fearing he was going to get stabbed, grabbed the knife and attempted to take it away from the suspect. During the struggle the victim sustained a laceration to his right ring finger. The suspect fled on foot from the location in an unknown direction. Los Angeles County Fire responded to the location and transported the victim to a local hospital for medical treatment. Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Florence Metro Passenger Station, Los Angeles regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown person had taken 140 feet of exposed copper wire. The supervisor stated it would cost $10,000 to replace and repair the copper wire. No suspect information is available at this time.

Noteworthy Arrest – Attempt Murder Suspect

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies were conducting routine patrol checks at the Veterans/Memorial Metro Passenger Station. They observed a male adult (suspect) matching the description of an individual identified in a recent attempted murder bulletin. The suspect was contacted and taken into custody without incident. The suspect was transported and booked for the above charge.

Grand Theft (Copper Wire) – No Suspect information

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of Florence Avenue and Prairie Avenue, in the city of Inglewood regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown person had taken 60 feet of exposed copper wire. The supervisor stated it would cost $3,000 to replace and repair the copper wire. No suspect information is available at this time.

Attempted Robbery – Subject Detained

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Slauson Metro Passenger Station regarding a person with a knife call for service. Upon arrival, deputy personnel searched the location but were unable to locate anyone matching the description in the call. While on the platform, deputies were approached by a male adult (victim) who stated someone on the train attempted to rob him, unrelated to the initial call for service. The victim told deputies while he was on the train from the Long Beach Metro Passenger station, a male juvenile (subject) approached him and demanded “give me everything you have.” The subject had his hands in his jacket pocket and simulated having a weapon. The victim told the subject he recognized him and began to record the subject with his cellular phone. The subject then boarded a train and waited for it to depart as deputies arrived. The subject was detained for attempted robbery.

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of Graham Avenue and Nadeau Street, Los Angeles regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown person had taken 66 feet of exposed copper wire. The supervisor stated it would cost $30,000 to replace and repair the copper wire. No suspect information is available at this time.

Sexual Battery – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Compton Metro Passenger Station regarding a sexual battery call for service. Upon arrival, Metro Security Officers were detaining a male adult (suspect) for sexual battery of a female adult (victim) on the platform. The victim stated while she was on the platform waiting for the arrival of the train, the suspect approached her. The suspect without provocation slapped and grabbed the victim’s buttocks. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charges.

Battery on Metro Security – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Norwalk Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Security Officers, who were already detaining a male adult (suspect). Metro Security Officers stated the suspect was asked to leave the platform due to the suspect having an open alcoholic beverage. The suspect refused and remained on the platform. After several minutes the suspect became upset, grabbed a juice box and threw it at the security officer striking him. The suspect was detained by security awaiting the arrival of deputy personnel. The suspected was arrested and booked for the above charges.

Robbery/Attempted Robbery – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Long Beach Metro Passenger Station regarding a robbery occurring now call for service. Upon arrival, deputies detained a female adult (suspect), who was identified by witnesses as the perpetrator. During the investigation deputies determined the suspect had forcefully taken a cell phone from a female adult (victim 1) while they were on the C-Line train. Victim 1 was able to regain possession of her cell phone, and the suspect fled the platform onto the street level. While on street level, the suspect attempted to forcefully take another cell phone from another female adult (Victim 2) on Long Beach Boulevard. Victim 2 was able to maintain control of her cell phone. Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the location and treated both victims at the location. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charges.

Grand Theft Person – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the El Monte Bus Terminal regarding a grand theft person call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated while he was waiting for the bus at bay 18, a male adult (suspect) approached him and grabbed his pink/grey backpack that was laying on the ground next to him. The suspect then ran westbound through the terminal and out of view. Deputies canvassed the area for the suspect but met with negative results. There is no suspect info at this time. The suspect is still outstanding.

Trespassing on Railroad Property – Suspect Cited/Released

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Memorial Metro Passenger Station, regarding a person trespassing on the railroad tracks call for service. The male adult (suspect) was seen on Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) in a manhole prior to the deputy’s arrival. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a Metro Supervisor and determined there was no evidence of copper theft. The suspect was detained and cited for trespassing on railroad property in a manner that interrupted/hindered the trains from operating in a safe and efficient manner.

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of Florence Avenue and Nadeau Street, Los Angeles regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown person had taken 103 feet of exposed copper wire. The supervisor stated it would cost $5,000 to replace and repair the copper wire. No suspect information is available at this time.

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the 300 block of Arizona Avenue, in the city of Santa Monica, regarding a sexual battery report call for service. Upon arrival deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated while she was riding the bus, a male adult (suspect) sat down next to her. The victim saw the suspect masturbating and rubbing his erect penis against her thigh. The victim quickly got up and moved to another seat. The victim stated the suspect watched her as she moved her seat and continued to masturbate. At the next stop, the victim quickly exited the bus. The suspect remained on the bus. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (knife) – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of Compton Avenue and Florence Avenue, Los Angeles regarding an assault with a deadly weapon (knife) call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated while he was riding the bus he got into a verbal argument with a male (suspect) in the rear of the bus. When the bus operator stopped the bus, the victim approached the operator and asked her to call law enforcement due to the victim being stabbed. The suspect exited the bus and ran eastbound on Florence Avenue and out of view. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the location and transported the victim to a local hospital for further medical treatment. The is no suspect info at this time. The suspect is still outstanding.

Noteworthy Arrest – Indecent Exposure / Annoying Minor

Transit Services Bureau’s (TSB) Special Assignment Unit (SAU)- North, conducted an arrest warrant service operation. They located a suspect who was wanted for annoying a minor and indecent exposure that occurred on May 20th, 2025 at the Lake Metro Passenger Station. The suspected was arrested and booked for the above charges.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Unknown Sharp Object) – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of Bellgrave Avenue and Pacific Avenue, Huntington Park regarding and assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated while she was riding the bus a male adult (suspect) hit her on the head with an unknown sharp object. The victim did not see the object but felt something sharp hit her on the head which caused a small superficial wound. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the location and treated the victim for her injury. The victim refused transportation to a local hospital. The suspect exited the bus and left in an unknown direction. Deputy personnel canvased the location for the suspect, but met with negative results. The is no suspect info at this time. The suspect is still outstanding.

Grand Theft (Phone Snatch) – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of Swall Drive and Wilshire Boulevard, in the city of Beverly Hills regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated while she was riding on the Metro Bus a female adult (suspect) snatch her phone from her hand and fled off the bus in an unknown direction. The Beverly Hills Police Department responded and detained the suspect nearby. The victim positively identified the suspect as the person who snatched her phone. The cell phone was recovered from the suspect and returned to the victim. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charge.

Delaying Metro Rail Operations – Suspected Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Sierra Madre Metro passenger Station regarding a disturbance on the train. Upon arrival Deputies contacted s female adult (victim) who stated she told a male adult (suspect) to not smoke on the train. The suspect became upset and began yelling at the victim. The suspect left the location on a scooter. A description of the suspect was relayed to the Pasadena Police Department who detained the suspect nearby. The victim was not desirous of prosecution, however due to the suspect actions the Metro Operations were delayed. The suspect was arrested and booked for the delaying Metro Rail Operations.

Narcan Deployment – Patient Transported to Hospital

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Wilmington Metro Passenger Station regarding a female adult (patient) acting erratically. Deputies administered one dose of Narcan to assist the patient. Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the location and transported the female to a local hospital for further medical treatment.

Grand Theft (Copper Wire) – No Suspect information

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of Graham Avenue and Nadeau Street, Los Angeles regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown person had taken 14 feet of exposed copper wire. The supervisor stated it would cost $1,000 to replace and repair the copper wire. No suspect information is available at this time.

Attempted Grand Theft (Copper Wire) – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Detectives conducted an operation on the Metro A-Line between 2100 hours – 0500 Hours focusing on the area of the Florence Metro Passenger Station and the Firestone Metro Passenger Station in Los Angeles. At 0350 hours a male adult was arrested on the tracks and booked for copper theft and possession of burglary tools.

Battery on Police Officer (Hands & Feet) – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Santa Monica Metro Passenger Station regarding the end of line train sweeps call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a male adult (suspect), who was asleep on one of the trains. The suspect suddenly and without warning punched the Deputy (victim) in the face. Deputies used personal weapons and control holds to secure the suspect and placed him in handcuffs. Deputy personnel transported the suspect to a local hospital for further treatment. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charge. The Deputy had pain in the face area and was treated at Urgent Care for the injury.

Strong Arm Robbery – Suspect Not in Custody

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to 60th Street and Central Avenue regarding a robbery just occurred call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim), who stated while she was inside the bus a male adult (suspect) approached her and forcibly grabbed her yellow necklace from her neck. The suspect ran off the bus and was last seen running northbound on Central Avenue and out of view. The victim stated the necklace was worth approximately $5000. The victim suffered an approximate 5-inch laceration around her neck. The victim refused medical attention. No suspect information is available at this time.

Grand Theft (Copper Wire) – No Suspect information

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Florence Metro Passenger Station regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown person had taken 24 feet of copper wire. There was no description of a suspect. The supervisor estimated the cost to replace and repair the copper wire to $4900. No suspect information is available at this time.

Vandalism – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Alpine Avenue and Sunset Boulevard in the city of Beverly Hills regarding a vandalism just occurred, call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the bus operator (witness), who stated an adult male (suspect) became upset because the bus operator was stopping at every red light and he was in a rush to go somewhere. The suspect approached the front of the bus and struck the operator’s bus barrier door with a folded metal pocketknife, causing it to shatter. A Metro Supervisor estimated the cost to repair and replace the shattered door to be $970. The suspect was arrested and booked by TSB Deputies for the above charge.

Robbery – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Willowbrook Metro Passenger Bus Station regarding a robbery call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim), who stated she was in the turnaround waiting for the bus when a male adult (suspect), approached the victim and pulled her to the ground. While the victim was on the ground, the suspect kicked her and took her belongings from her person. A bystander witnessed the robbery and held the suspect to prevent him from leaving the location. TSB Deputies responded to the location and arrested the suspect for the above charge. Los Angeles County Fire paramedics responded to the location and medically treated the victim. The victim refused to be transported to the hospital. The victim was later transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Grand Theft (Copper Wire) – No Suspect information

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of 92nd Street and Graham Avenue, Los Angeles regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Track Inspector, who stated that an unknown person had taken 150 feet of copper wire between 92nd Street & Graham Avenue. There was no description of a suspect. The track inspector estimated the cost to repair and replace the copper wire to be $7800. No suspect information is available at this time.

June 27, 2025

Grand Theft Person (Cell Phone) – Suspect Not in Custody

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Long Beach Metro Passenger Station regarding a petty theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the victim, who stated while she was standing on the platform, male black adult (suspect) grabbed her cellphone from the victim’s hand. The suspect fled on foot down the stairs at Long Beach Pax towards the street level. The suspect was last seen on foot southbound on Long Beach Boulevard and out of view.
