Fanny Lapkin is currently the Captain at West Hollywood Station.  In this role, she oversees patrol operations, community engagement, and staff leadership.  She is responsible for ensuring community safety, policy compliance, and fostering positive relationships with the residents and businesses of the area.

Lapkin began her law enforcement career in 1997 as a Deputy at North County Correctional Facility, focusing on inmate and staff safety and facility operations.  In 2008, she transitioned to Santa Clarita Valley Station, first as a Patrol Deputy, then as a Community Relations Deputy, strengthening community trust through outreach and public safety initiatives.

In January 2022, Lapkin was promoted to Lieutenant at Pitches Detention Center, managing custody operations at North County Correctional Facility.  In July 2022, she advanced to Service Area Lieutenant at West Hollywood, coordinating patrol activities, overseeing team performance, and enhancing community relations.

Lapkin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Los Angeles.  Known for strong leadership, adaptability, and commitment to community service, she strives to create a safer, more connected neighborhood through proactive policing and collaboration.
