Deputies Matthew Bounds and Brian Harper, assigned to San Dimas Station’s Mountain Car, patrol the rugged San Gabriel Mountains. They traverse mountain roads, trails and camp grounds both by vehicle and on foot. Their typical days encompass handling a variety of situations which include street racing, assisting motorists with their vehicles flipped over the side of the mountain, traffic and parking enforcement, Illegal shooting, trespassing and fishing without a license at Morris Dam, among countless unimaginable scenarios. They must drive through mountainous areas regardless of pouring rain or heavy snow. During times of dangerous rock and mud slides, as in during fires, they handle the blocking of roads and the evacuation of residents, in order to preserve life. These Deputies are unsung heros!
