- Drive carefully and avoid flooded streets.
- Check on neighbors, especially the elderly and less mobile.
- Bring pets indoors.
- Charge medical devices and cell phones fully, and prepare back-up systems for potential power outages.
- Ensure storm drains in your area are clear of debris.
- Prepare an emergency kit with essentials.
- Be patient, emergency services might be busy.
