Grand Theft – Suspect(s) Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to Long Beach Metro Passenger Station regarding a copper theft call for service. Deputies contacted a Metro Supervisor who stated that unknown suspects entered the location, removed copper wire from the right-of-way, and fled the location. The estimated value of the copper wire is $4,000.

Sexual Assault, False Imprisonment – Suspect Arrested
TSB Deputies responded to the Culver City Metro Passenger regarding a sexual assault call for service. Deputies contacted an adult female (Victim) who stated an adult male (Suspect) held her on the train and platform against her will and forcibly penetrated her. The suspect was located and arrested without incident. The victim refused medical treatment.

Robbery – Suspect Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station regarding a robbery call for service. Deputies contacted an adult male (Victim) who stated he was approached by an adult male (Suspect) who hit the victim with a metal bicycle kickstand and forcefully took the victim’s backpack. The victim grabbed his backpack from the suspect, who exited the train at Artesia Metro Passenger Station and fled the location. The victim refused medical treatment.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to Compton Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault call for service. Deputies contacted an adult female (Victim) who stated she was riding the train toward Compton Metro Passenger Station when an adult female (Suspect) approached the victim and without provocation, struck the victim in the back of her head with a glass bottle. The suspect exited the train at Compton Metro Passenger Station and fled the location. The victim exited the train at Firestone Metro Passenger Station. She was medically treated and released at the location.

Assault – Suspect Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to a residence regarding an assault call for service. Deputies contacted an adult female (Victim’s mother) who stated she was riding the bus with her juvenile daughter (Victim) when an adult female (Suspect) who was standing next to them stated, “You better tell that little bitch to her hands to herself” and then kicked the victim’s knee. The victim and her mother exited the bus at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Pioneer Boulevard in the City of Norwalk to prevent an additional assault. The victim and her mother refused medical treatment.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Criminal Threats – Suspect Arrested
TSB Deputies responded to Wardlow Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault call for service. Deputies contacted an adult female (Victim) who stated another adult female (Suspect) boarded the train at Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station and began to behave erratically. Between Del Amo Metro Passenger Station and Artesia Metro Passenger Station, the suspect produced a knife. The suspect approached the victim, pointed the knife toward the victim’s chest, and stated “I’m gonna kill you, bitch!” Metro patrons intervened and disarmed the suspect. The suspect was arrested without incident, and the knife was recovered and booked into evidence. The victim was not injured during the incident.

Robbery – Suspect Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to Long Beach Metro Passenger Station regarding a robbery call for service. Deputies contacted an adult male (Victim) who stated that while he was on the stairs on the west side of the station, he was approached by an adult male (Suspect) who brandished a switchblade and demanded the victim’s electric scooter. Fearing for his life, the victim handed his scooter to the suspect, who fled the location. Approximately an hour and a half later, deputies located and arrested the suspect without incident. The scooter was recovered. During the investigation, deputies determined the suspect was responsible for a second, recent robbery on the transit system.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm – Suspects Arrested
TSB Deputies responded to Crenshaw Metro Passenger Station regarding a person with a weapon call for service. Deputies arrived on scene and detained two adult males (Both suspects/victims) who were involved in a fight. One suspect/victim assaulted the other with an unknown blunt object. The second suspect/victim produced a handgun from his waistband, but it was knocked out of his hand during the altercation. One suspect/victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition pending further medical evaluation prior to booking. The other suspect/victim was not injured during the altercation. Both suspects/victims were arrested without incident.

Assault on a Bus Operator – Suspect Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to the intersection of Atlantic Boulevard and Slauson Avenue in the City of Maywood regarding an assault call for service. Deputies contacted the bus operator (Victim) who stated an adult male (Suspect) was sleeping at the rear of the bus. The victim woke the suspect up, who became irate and spat at the victim, striking her. The suspect exited the bus and fled the location. The victim declined medical treatment.

Possession of a Replica Firearm, Under the Influence – Suspect Arrested
TSB Deputies responded to Slauson Metro Passenger Station regarding a man with a gun call for service. Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male (Suspect) and detained him. The suspect produced a handgun from his pocket but refused to comply with commands from the deputies. A use of force occurred, and the suspect was arrested without further incident. The suspect was transported to a local hospital in stable condition pending further medical evaluation prior to booking. Upon inspection, the handgun was determined to be a replica.

Narcan Deployed

TSB Deputies were conducting a platform check at Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station when they were flagged down by a Metro Ambassador, who directed them to an unresponsive adult female on the train. The female was unconscious and breathing shallowly. The deputies administered Narcan, which revived her. She was transported to a local hospital in stable condition pending further medical evaluation.

Assault on a Bus Operator – Suspect Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to the intersection of Temple City Boulevard and Valley Boulevard in the City of Rosemead regarding an assault call for service. Deputies contacted the bus operator (Victim) who stated while stopped at the intersection, an adult male (Suspect) boarded the bus with an open container of beer. The victim told the suspect he could not drink on the bus. The suspect reached over the protective barrier and threw the beer can at the victim, striking him. The suspect exited the bus and fled the location. The victim declined medical attention.

Robbery – Suspect Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to Artesia Metro Passenger Station regarding a robbery call for service. Deputies contacted an adult male (Victim) who stated an unknown adult male (Suspect) approached him on the platform, produced a silver-plated handgun, and demanded the victim’s electric scooter. The victim, fearing for his life, handed the scooter to the suspect. The suspect fled the location. The victim was not injured during the incident.

Assault on a Bus Operator – Suspect Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to the intersection of Brand Boulevard and Colorado Street in the City of Glendale regarding an assault call for service. Deputies contacted the bus operator (Victim) who stated he stopped the bus at the intersection and an adult male (Suspect) was exiting the bus with a female adult passenger. The operator told the suspect and the female passenger to be careful exiting the bus. The suspect became upset and stated, “You are disrespecting me.” The suspect punched the operator twice. The suspect fled the location. The victim was medically treated in the field and refused transportation to a local hospital. In-Service Training Conducted Deputies assigned to the South Special Assignment Unit (SAU) conducted training on felony traffic stops on buses. The purpose of the training was to refresh deputy skills on approaching Metro buses with potentially violent suspects on board. These skills help TSB deputies take control of dynamic situations to protect and preserve the lives of Metro operators and passengers while capturing the suspect.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Feet – Suspect Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to Norwalk Metro Bus Terminal regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Deputies contacted an adult male (Victim) who stated an adult male (Suspect) yelled that he was talking too loud on the bus. The suspect kicked the victim in his face. The suspect exited the bus and fled the location. The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition pending further medical evaluation. 07/15 Robbery – Suspects Outstanding TSB Deputies responded to Fairview Heights Metro Passenger Station regarding a robbery report call for service. Deputies contacted an adult male (Victim) who stated he was approached by three male adults (Suspects). One of the suspects immediately engaged the victim in a physical altercation and took the victim’s cell phone. The suspects fled the location. The victim fell onto the tracks during the altercation and injured his right hand. The victim declined medical treatment. 07/14 Deceased Person TSB Deputies responded to the Irwindale Metro Passenger Station parking structure regarding a deceased person. The deputies found an unresponsive adult female on the street level behind the parking structure. The female was pronounced deceased. LASD Homicide Detectives were notified and responded to the location. The coroner arrived and took possession of the decedent. No foul play was suspected. 07/12 Grand Theft/Copper Wire – Suspect Outstanding Approximately twenty feet of copper wire was stolen from the tracks at Douglas Metro Passenger Station. A male adult was seen on Metro CCTV video footage at 0158 hours walking away from the location with the copper in his hands. The suspect fled the location in an unknown direction.

Arrest Made – Attempted Murder Suspect
TSB Deputies assigned to the South Special Assignment Unit (SAU) conducted an operation at Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station and located an adult male (Suspect) wanted in an attempted murder incident that occurred on May 27th, 2024, at the same location. During the incident, the suspect threatened the victim and then struck the victim repeatedly with a metal pipe. The suspect was arrested without incident.

Assault on a Bus Operator/Pepper Spray – Suspect Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to the intersection of Beach Street and Florence Avenue in the City of Los Angeles regarding an assault call for service. Deputies contacted the bus operator (Victim) who stated an adult male (Suspect 1) and an adult female (Suspect 2) with a baby stroller boarded the bus and began arguing with the bus operator. The arguing escalated as the bus continued its route. The bus stopped at the location where the suspects began to exit, but there were people boarding and exiting. Suspect 1 started to exit from the front door and was told by the operator to use the rear door or wait for the other patrons to board. Suspect 1 was able to exit the bus prior to suspect 2 exiting with the stroller. Suspect 1 stood in front of the bus to prevent the bus from moving while suspect 2 walked over to the operator’s area. Suspect 2 produced a pepper spray canister and sprayed the area causing the bus operator to feel the effects of the chemical. The suspects fled the location toward Florence Metro Passenger Station and boarded a train. The victim was medically treated in the field.

Battery on Metro Security – Suspect Arrested
TSB Deputies conducting platform checks at the 4th Street Metro Passenger Station in Downtown Santa Monica were flagged down by Metro Security personnel regarding a security guard being assaulted. The Metro Security (Victim) stated he attempted to detain an adult male (Suspect) for fare evasion, but the suspect began to argue over the fare. The suspect became violent and threw a plastic water bottle at the victim, which struck the victim. The victim did not complain of any pain or injury and refused any medical treatment. The suspect was located and arrested without incident.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Knife, Robbery – Suspect Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to Florence Metro Passenger Station regarding a robbery call for service. Deputies contacted an adult male (Victim) who stated he was exiting the train when an adult male (Suspect) forcefully pulled him from behind and demanded money. A physical altercation occurred on the platform. The suspect stabbed the victim several times during the attack and took the victim’s phone. The suspect fled the location. The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition pending further medical evaluation. The victim’s cell phone was located on the platform where the incident occurred and was returned to the victim.

Domestic Assault – Suspect Arrested
TSB Deputies responded to the Santa Monica Metro Passenger Station regarding a family disturbance call for service. Deputies contacted an adult male (Victim) who stated he was involved in a verbal altercation with an adult female (his ex-girlfriend, Suspect). The victim attempted to walk away from the suspect, but the suspect threw an empty glass bottle of tequila toward him which struck him in his back. The suspect was arrested without incident. The victim was medically treated in the field and refused transportation to a local hospital.

Drug Sales – Suspects Arrested
TSB Deputies assigned to the North Special Assignment Unit (SAU) were conducting a crime suppression operation at the Lake Metro Passenger Station. During the operation, deputies assigned to the Rail Operation Center (ROC) monitoring the passenger station via remote CCTV cameras observed three individuals conducting a hand-to-hand drug transaction in front of the east side elevators on Lake Avenue. Deputies responded to the location and contacted an adult female (Suspect). As the deputies attempted to handcuff the suspect, she pulled away from them and a use of force occurred. The suspect was transported to a local hospital but was not injured during the incident. The other two suspects were arrested without incident.

Bus Versus Vehicle Collision
TSB Deputies responded to the intersection of Rosecrans Avenue and San Pedro Street in the unincorporated area of Compton regarding a Metro bus versus vehicle traffic collision. The Metro bus was traveling eastbound on Rosecrans Avenue in the #3 lane when it collided with a gray sedan traveling northbound on San Pedro Street. There were no occupants on the bus. The bus operator was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries pending further medical evaluation. The occupants of the vehicle, 3 adult females and 1 juvenile male, were transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The juvenile occupant was declared deceased upon arrival. Officers from the California Highway Patrol responded to the incident and assumed responsibility for the investigation.

Robbery/Assault – Suspects Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station regarding a robbery call for service. Deputies contacted an adult male (Victim) who stated he was standing on the platform when he was approached by three adult males (Suspects) who forcefully pulled his phone from his hand. The victim chased after the suspects in an attempt to retrieve his phone. The suspects began to physically assault the victim. The suspects fled the location. The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition pending further medical evaluation.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Arrested
TSB Deputies were conducting a platform check at Crenshaw Metro Passenger Station and were flagged down by an adult male (Victim) who stated an adult male (Suspect) who assaulted him on May 31, 2024 in Culver City was nearby. The incident occurred on May 31, 2024, and a report was authored by Culver City PD. The TSB deputies located and arrested the suspect without incident, and transported him to Culver City PD for booking. Spousal Assault – Suspect Outstanding TSB Deputies responded to Long Beach Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault call for service. Deputies contacted an adult female (Victim) who stated she and her boyfriend (Suspect) were arguing. The argument turned violent when the suspect began to punch the victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The suspect fled the location. Based on the location of the incident, the California Highway Patrol was notified and provided a courtesy report.

Battery on Transit Patron – Suspect Arrested
TSB Deputies responded to the intersection of Disney Way and Harbor Boulevard in the City of
Anaheim regarding a fight between two patrons on board a bus. Deputies contacted the operator
who stated an adult male (Suspect) followed two female patrons onto the bus and they were
concerned about his behavior. The operator stated he told the suspect to exit the bus. A verbal
altercation ensued between the bus operator and the suspect. Another patron (Victim) intervened,
and a physical altercation occurred. The victim was medically treated in the field and refused
transportation to a local hospital. Deputies located the suspect and arrested him without incident.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to Hawthorne Metro Passenger Station regarding an adult male (Suspect)
following an adult female (Victim) and threatening to stab her and throw her onto the tracks.
Deputies contacted the victim who stated she met the suspect at the location to discuss their
relationship. After the conversation escalated into a verbal argument, the victim walked away from
the suspect. The suspect followed the victim around the platform and produced a kitchen knife
from his waistband as he threatened to throw her onto the train tracks and stab her. The victim
feared she would be stabbed and called police. The suspect fled the location. The victim was not
injured during the incident.

Grand Theft – Suspect Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to the intersection of 106th Street and Normandie Avenue in the City of
Los Angeles regarding a grand theft just occurred call for service. Deputies contacted the victim who
stated when the bus came to a stop at 106th Street and Normandie Avenue an adult male (Suspect)
snatched her iPhone 13 from her hand. The victim was caught off guard and did not struggle with
the suspect. The suspect exited the bus and fled the location. The victim was not injured during the
incident.

Attempt Oral Copulation, Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to Artesia Metro Passenger Station for an assault call for service. Deputies
contacted an adult female (Victim) who stated she was walking northbound on the A Line tracks
north of Artesia Metro Passenger Station when an adult male (Suspect) approached her and started
making sexual remarks. When the victim ignored the suspect, he grabbed her by the throat and
attempted to force her head toward his penis. The victim was able to break free from the suspect’s
grasp and pepper sprayed the suspect. The suspect fled southbound and out of view. During the
struggle, the victim fell to the ground and was injured. The victim refused medical treatment.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to the 12800 block of Lakewood Boulevard in the City of Downey
regarding a stabbing victim on the platform. Deputies contacted an adult female (Victim) who stated
she was approached by an adult male (Suspect) who demanded money from her. The suspect struck
the victim with an unknown sharp object. The suspect fled the location. The victim was transported
to a local hospital in stable condition for further medical evaluation.

Assault on a Metro Operator – Suspect Outstanding
TSB Deputies responded to the intersection of Central Avenue and Windsor Road in the City of
Glendale regarding an assault on a Metro bus operator. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the bus
operator (Victim) who stated an adult female (Suspect) boarded the bus with a dog. The operator
told the suspect only service animals were allowed on the bus, and the suspect became
argumentative. The operator pulled the bus over and directed the passengers to exit. The operator
stepped out of the enclosed area to talk to the suspect, who punched the operator without
provocation. The suspect fled the location. The operator refused medical treatment.

Narcan Deployment
TSB Deputies were conducting a platform check at Lakewood Metro Passenger Station when they
discovered an adult male who was unresponsive in the east elevator. Deputies administered two
doses of Narcan, which revived the patient. The patient was transported to a local hospital in stable
condition pending further medical evaluation.

TSB Participates in the 2023 Great California Shakeout
TSB Detectives coordinated earthquake response training with Metrolink and manned the TSB Emergency Operations Center (EOC) located at the Irwindale Substation. TSB deputy personnel responded to a call that was dispatched to all TSB units to conduct a critical facility safety check of identified facilities within their reporting districts. After conducting a check, TSB deputies reported their findings back to the EOC.

TSB Personnel Collect, Donate Gently-Used Professional Business Attire for Women Transitioning From the Military
TSB Personnel collected nearly 200 pounds of new and gently used professional business wear, shoes, new makeup, jewelry, and purses to the American Legion as part of the Battle Boutique campaign, which helps women currently serving in the US military transition into the civilian workplace.

Attempted Robbery (Suspect Outstanding)
TSB Deputies responded to Whittier Boulevard and Ford Boulevard in the City of Los Angeles regarding a panic alarm – possible robbery call for service. They contacted the bus operator (Victim) who stated he was approached by a male adult (Suspect) while he was driving the bus. The suspect began to yell and demanded money from the victim.

The victim was fearful he would be harmed if he did not comply with the suspect’s demands. The victim began reaching for his wallet and told the suspect he had no money. The suspect exited the bus and started walking in an unknown direction. The bus operator stated he was not injured during this incident.

Employee Commendation
A Metro patron called the TSB Watch Commander and wanted to thank the deputies who rode with her on the train on the C/Green Line and for providing her with a safe riding experience. She further stated she felt safe and appreciated the deputy’s presence on the train. The deputies were presented with a written commendation.

Robbery (Suspect Outstanding)
TSB Deputies responded to a local hospital regarding a robbery report call for service. They contacted the victim who was being treated by the medical staff for her injuries. The victim stated that as she crossed the A-Line pedestrian train tracks grade crossing and walked through the metal gates toward Willowbrook Avenue, an unknown male adult (Suspect) approached her and grabbed her purse. The victim resisted the suspect’s efforts to take her purse and held onto the purse. The suspect then punched the victim and pushed her, causing her to fall to the ground on her back. The suspect took approximately $10 in US currency and ran toward the train station and
out of view. The victim walked to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries.

A/Blue-Line Crime Suppression Operation
The Special Assignment Unit (SAU) and Commuter Enhancement Unit (CET) conducted extra patrol on the A-Line. Uniformed deputies rode trains and patrolled passenger stations. Appropriate law enforcement action was taken for suspects who committed any crime on metro trains or property.

Train Versus Pedestrian
The LASD TSB Desk received a call from A-Line control regarding a train versus pedestrian at the 92nd Street/ Graham Avenue in the unincorporated area of Los Angeles grade crossing. The northbound train struck a female at the location. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased and a bus bridge was initiated.

Bus Versus Vehicle
A Metro Bus was traveling northbound on Atlantic Boulevard at Garvey Avenue in the City of Monterey Park when it struck a vehicle in the intersection. The bus proceeded northbound through the intersection when a Toyota Matrix moved into the intersection without stopping. The bus struck the Toyota. There were no traffic safety signals operating at the time of the accident due to Southern California Edison performing maintenance in the area. No parties reported injuries and Monterey Park PD responded to take a traffic collision report.

Assault on a Bus Operator (Suspect Arrested)
TSB Deputies responded to a battery just occurred call for service. Deputies contacted the bus operator (Victim), who told him he was assaulted by a passenger (Suspect) at a stop at the intersection of Whittier Boulevard and Ford Boulevard in the City of East Los Angeles. The suspect boarded the bus and began to talk to the bus operator. The suspect reached into his pocket, removed an object, and concealed it in his hand. The suspect yelled, “I’m going to shank you.” The suspect reached around the plexiglass barrier and hit the bus operator in the neck with a closed fist. The suspect lunged at the bus operator again but missed. The bus operator pushed the suspect off the bus and quickly closed the door. Deputy personnel located the suspect and arrested him without incident. The bus operator was not injured during this incident.

Between 7 AM and 10 AM, Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna will attend a “Coffee with the Sheriff” event at the 4th Street Metro Passenger Station in Santa Monica. Additional Sheriff’s Department personnel and TSB specialized units will be present to continue to build a positive community relationship with the City of Santa Monica and Metro ridership on the Expo Line.

IRWINDALE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE VISITS TSB IRWINDALE SUBSTATION
Members of the Irwindale Chamber of Commerce and city residents visited the TSB Irwindale substation as part of Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. They provided 40 hot lunches from Stonefire Grill and gift bags and presented certificates of recognition from 48th District Assemblywoman Blanca Rubio, 1st District Supervisor Hilda Solis, and Irwindale Mayor H. Manuel Ortiz, as well as thank you cards handwritten by students from Nogales High School.

SEXUAL ASSAULT (SUSPECT OUTSTANDING)
TSB Deputies responded to a local hospital regarding a sexual assault. The deputies contacted the victim who stated he was dropped off at Long Beach Metro Passenger Station at approximately 0300 hours. While he was in the elevator, he was approached by a male adult (Suspect), and they engaged in conversation. The suspect stopped the elevator and the victim started to use his phone to call for help since he felt something was wrong. The suspect grabbed the phone out of his hands to prevent him from calling. The suspect forced the victim to engage in sexual acts against his will. The suspect exited the elevator and boarded a train in an unknown direction. After a few minutes, the victim boarded a train, exited at Willowbrook Station, and walked home.

A-LINE CRIME SUPPRESSION OPERATION
The Special Assignment Unit (SAU) with the Commuter Enhancement Unit (CET) will continue to conduct extra patrol on the A-Line. Uniformed deputies will ride trains and patrol passenger stations. Appropriate law enforcement action will be taken for suspects who commit any crime on Metro trains or property.

ASSAULT AND ROBBERY (1 SUSPECT ARRESTED, 1 OUTSTANDING)
TSB deputies were flagged down at El Monte Metro Bus Terminal and spoke with a male (victim) who informed them he was the victim of an assault and robbery by two male blacks. Simultaneously, TSB Deputies responded to a local hospital regarding a possible assault report call for service. A patient at the hospital said he was assaulted and pepper sprayed at the El Monte Terminal by another male. Upon furtherance of their investigation, deputies determined the two calls were related.

The robbery victim said he pepper sprayed one of the suspects during the robbery, but the second suspect rode away in an unknown direction on a bicycle with the victim’s bag. The patient (suspect) at the hospital was positively identified by the victim and arrested for robbery and assault. The second suspect was not located and remains outstanding.

SPOUSAL BATTERY (SUSPECT ARRESTED)
TSB Deputies received a call for service at Firestone Metro Passenger Station regarding a possible spousal battery that occurred on a Metro train. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a female (Victim), a witness, and a male (Suspect). After their investigation, deputies arrested the suspect for spousal battery. The victim refused medical treatment.

ARMED ROBBERY (SUSPECT OUTSTANDING)
TSB Deputies were dispatched to the Long Beach Metro Passenger Station regarding an armed robbery call for service. Units arrived and contacted a female adult victim who said she was robbed by two male Hispanic adults armed with pistols. The victim and suspects exited the train onto the platform where the suspects demanded the victim’s cash. The victim said the suspects took $5 from her and fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The victim was transported to a local hospital after complaining of chest pains.

TSB Specialized Unit Presents Safe Schools Commuter Program at Duarte School
TSB Special Assignment Unit (SAU) hosted an informational meeting at the California School of the Arts – SGV (CSARTS-SGV) as part of the annual Safe Schools Commuter Program. CSARTS-SGV has nearly 400 students that use the Metro Blue/A-Line to commute to and from the school. The presentation focused on the safe passage of students to and from the school using the L-Line and provided safety tips for students, parents, and school staff in collaboration with Metro staff. In addition to presenting information, questions and concerns about the safety of Metro trains were also addressed.

Delaying Operations and Assault on a Peace Officer (Suspects Arrested)
As TSB Deputies were conducting a train check at the 4th Street Metro Passenger Station in the City of Santa Monica, they encountered an individual standing in the middle of the aisle, blocking passenger movement and displaying aggressive behavior. As the deputies contacted the individual to check on his welfare, the deputies were assaulted by this individual along with his female companion. The deputies were able to use minimal force and took both individuals into custody.

The Special Assignment Unit (SAU) along with the Commuter Enhancement Unit (CET) conducted extra patrol on the Blue/A-Line. Uniformed deputies remained highly visible, rode the trains along the A-Line, and patrolled Metro passenger stations. Appropriate law enforcement action was taken for suspects who committed any crime on Metro trains or property.

Narcan Deployment
TSB Deputies stationed at the El Monte Terminal lower level were flagged down by an unknown individual. The person reported an unresponsive individual on the terminal’s upper level. Upon reaching the location, the deputies discovered an unconscious adult male with a pulse.

They promptly administered two doses of NARCAN, which successfully revived him and restored his consciousness. Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel arrived to provide further medical treatment and assess the patient’s condition. After the medical assessment, the patient refused transportation to the hospital and left the premises independently.
