Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public’s help locating At-Risk Missing Person, Marshawn Donald Jr. Slater. He is a 20-year-old male Black, who was last seen on the 400 block of E Avenue I, in the City of Lancaster, March 22, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.

Marshawn is 5’10”, 160lbs with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue shorts, and black and white Nike shoes.

Mr. Slater suffers from schizophrenia.
 
There is concern for his well-being.

Homicide Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are seeking assistance with information regarding the murder of Hector Ascencio Sr.

On Saturday, September 16, 2023, the victim was shot and killed after answering the front door of his residence on the 2500 block of Glenwood Place in the city of South Gate.  The victim’s adolescent granddaughter witnessed the murder. 

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and the City of South Gate have each authorized a $20,000, and $10,000 reward for a total of $30,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) involved.
