The
Communications and Fleet Management Bureau provides quality
communications and appropriate vehicles and vessels in a
cost-effective manner to support the operations of the Department.
This includes operating and maintaining the voice and digital
communications systems, training personnel in the use of
mobile digital communications, coordinating and responding
on FCC matters and policy, managing telephones, pagers and
portable radios, planning communications for special events,
identifying and resolving communications problems, coordinating
planning, purchasing and installation of communications systems
and coordinating repair and maintenance of telecommunications
equipment.
