Court Services Division is tasked with providing security
and support services to the Superior Court
in the County of Los Angeles. This mission includes staffing
bailiffs, operating courthouse lock-ups,
and serving and enforcing civil and criminal process.
The Division provides these services for
48 courthouse
locations throughout Los Angeles County. Court Services is
the second largest Division in the Department consisting
of
over 1,100 sworn members and over 500 civilians.
The Division consists of three bureaus: Central, East,
West,
plus the Judicial Protection District.
